|
|
I recently got into playing ITG after being inspired by a video of two people playng marathon mode - mainly Bloodrush Expert diffuculty.
My question is how do you even come close to beating it? What tips would you give to somebody trying this song?
I know the freeze arrows invlove using your hands as well, but is this the case for the entire song, or do you have to move your feet really really fast?
Any help would be appreciated, even if it is only for Hard mode, and not Expert... I can get fairly far in hard mode though. |

There are only a few hands in expert mode, dont worry about those. You'll have to worry about reading the slow part and having enough speed and energy in your legs to beat that, plus the two parts in the beginning and the end that's almost identical. If you're a moderate reader, place it at 3x normal or 5x mini, if you're a fast reader, 4x it or 6x mini it. Trust me on that.
Other than that:

First off ITG isn't similar to other games where people can give you extensive tips on how to beat a certain "boss" (in this case Bloodrush). All you have to do is practice - and since you have a video, perhaps watch their feet and see how they move. _________________

Exactly what I did for Burning Heat! 3 Option Mix in DDR HEAVY (along with studying the stepcharts, and praticing it in Stepmania) and it helped a lot, I don't see why not. I will do that, study the stepcharts, and pratice in Stepmania
It is a great stamina builder too - even though I failed it a lot today - each time getting further and further - it helped me get enough energy to B Burning Heat! 3 Option Mix in DDR (again, HEAVY) ... so even if I get through it bit by bit, I know it will help me in more ways than one to pratice and watch the videos. |

The song is crossovers the entire way through. If you don't turn your hips, you'll never make it. |

So...you're having trouble with burning heat, yet you want to try bloodrush?
Maybe you should try some 10s or something.. |

was referring to Bloodrush, not Burning Heat... my pad is the problem with Burning Heat... and yes, I have tried and am working through 10 footers in DDR. |

If you're still working your way through 10-footers in DDR, you're not even close to passing Bloodrush. |

If you cant do the generally known 'easier' 12's dont bother trying bloodrush. |

Hard mode is more like it. If you don't specify a difficulty, people will assume you mean Expert (like they assume Heavy in DDR). I don't remember what the Hard chart looks like; I'll take a look later in SM. _________________

Isn't bloodrush an 8 on hard? Seriously, Bloodrush expert is one of the 5 hardest songs in ITG. If you can't pass everything in DDR, you don't stand a chance. _________________

There's nothing inherently difficult about BR Hard. If you're moderately good at crossovers and stamina, you're set. _________________

I got some more sane goals in mind:
Work on Bloodrushon hard mode (not expert), THEN (OR WHILE DOING THAT) work on 10 footers in DDR AND slowly take little bits of Bloodrush Expert. |

I highly doubt that would work. Try working on the 11's first then the 12's not DDR 10-> ITG 12...

I could make an exception on that with PSMO. I had already passed three 12's before I passed that. |

It was actually Euphoria, HoTN and Tell. Hell, I still haven't even passed Delirium. I'm pretty sure I could, but I just haven't played it in a while. |

Your an exception then because those are generally some of the harder ones :/ |
