Hey, Thanks for the help....But...DANG!.....Its confusing. Messed with it for a few minutes but just couldnt see what to do?
I wish there was a program where you can open a file, and it just splits things up and you can do what you want with them?...Maybe this one does and I just dont see it???

Hi,
I would recommend the free open source (and very very handy) program called "VirtualDub". It is used by many for video conversion and editing, and I also find it quite easy to use. You can download VirtualDub here:
http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/showsoftware_virtualdub_346.html
It is very easy to do you tasks (save a video's audio, and save a copy of the video with no audio) in VirtualDub.
First, run VirtualDub and click "File" -> "Open" and browse to your video file (I assume it is AVI). It will now open your video file.
TO SAVE JUST THE AUDIO TO WAV FORMAT:
1) Click "File" -> "Save WAV ..."
2) Just browse to where you want to save the audio portion of the file and click save!
TO SAVE THE VIDEO FILE WITHOUT AUDIO:
1) Click "Audio" -> "No Audio"
2) Click "Video" -> "Direct Stream Copy"
3) Click "File" -> "Save as AVI ..."
4) Voila! Just browse to where you want to save your video file without audio
Hope that helps, and I can make a quick little visual walkthrough if you have problems.
Cheers,
Tom |
