Yeah, I did not like that in Ex but in Ex2 you can turn them on for all the time.

Because that would actually be helpful. We can't go around having that kind of nonsense in DDR.

Actually, I have a question. Why are marvolous steps higher than perfect?
I mean, perfect is perfect right? Nothing should be higher than perfect.

Well, obviously: they're not there to keep the timing from getting too precise. That would explain why they did it in Ex2 ::coughitgcough::

The Marvelous window is actually TOO tight.

That's why the Fantastic window is looser in ITG.

I'm of the mind that Fantastic is supposed to correlate to Perfect, not Marvelous. I actually wouldn't mind seeing, oh, say, Just Fantastics show up in ITG (with the same window as Just Great).

ITG isn't DDR. The timings aren't meant to correlate. Marvellous is "higher" than perfect because Perfect was already there, they couldn't shift it up to make room for Marvellous so they put it afterwards.

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

i think it was for AAA sake... with a Marv. on you can AAAA a song. the highest score you could have gotten up untill 8th mix was a AAA. with that being said, people would be pissed if there high score was taken over marv. timing.

a Max 300 with 554 marv. and 1 great would give you a higher score then 552 mav. and 3 perfict..... even though you AAA the song the AA would have the higher score.....

this is way i think they didn't put it in

Ya there isn't a AAAA, that was only a myth, but anyways to the previous topic before that, it was fixed in ddr so that wouldn't happen or atleast i haven't seen a AA have a higher score than AAA. The only place i've seen it happen was in Stepmania because thats programed silly:P lol. I've gotten an AA on a song but then suddenly had a song say, wow new record with an A lol cuz i get one good or sumthin and rest perfects. i just wanna know wut happens if u do that in the arcade:P

First, look up the DP grading system for Extreme AC (not positive, but here you go):

Perfect - +2
Great - +1 (-1 max DP level)
Good - 0 (-2)
Boo - -4 (-6)
Miss - -8 (-10)
OK - +2
N.G. 0 or -2 (-2 or -4)... not sure.

90% - A
93% - AA
100% - AAA

A great is worth less points near the end of a song than at the beginning. For example, both players BF LoM. Player 1 gets a great toward the beginning, and Player 2 gets a great toward the end. Therefore P1 has a higher score than P2.

If you used non-Extreme grading, a NC can put off your AA, and that score can still break any AA record if the score is higher. If you're using Extreme grading, an A can beat a AA depending on where the greats were.

No AA can beat a AAA, because a AAA = 10 million*foot rating of song, while a AA cannot reach that score without all Perfects and O.Ks.
