I've been having trouble trying to get any kind of In the Groove course to work. When I put the file in the courses folder, I get the error message that says "The options string '30% wave. 50% drunk, 30% float, 30% beat' contains an invalid mod name 'float.'" This causes the course to not even display in the course section when I play the game. I know other people don't normally have this problem and the game actually allows those types of mods in the courses.

This is where I downloaded the course, I have the songs necessary for it but it still doesn't understand the mods that are being placed (using Nightmare course.) I'm currently using the latest version of the In the Groove theme. Using Stepmania 3.95 CVS since it's meant for the theme. If anyone has any ideas, lemme know. Thank you!

And off topic, does anyone know how to erase the highscores on your machine profile completely?

The only reason you are getting this message is because SM doesnt have float. Refer to the courses tutorial for more info on how to remove the float MOD and get the course working.

P.S: That link is broken.

Occasionally the website just goes down temporarily. I removed the float, and now it's working! Thank you E1.gif Would you also happen to know how to remove all the high scores?

Yeah, itg.worldgamerz.com goes down a lot. But it always comes back after a day or so.

What does Float do, anyway?

You should be able to just exit Stepmania, delete the Stats.xml file (or move it to another directory in case you ever want it again, or just rename it to something else), and restart.
