Dont know if this is the right place for this. As im wearing my flameproof pants, I should be ok. Id like to find a collection of 80s music for Stepmania. I have TONS of 80s music so i only need the stepfiles, or if there are already large packs of music floating around, please send me directions via PM!

Thanks

Irishman

Yeah -- I doubt you'll find a pre-packaged selection of songs anywhere, but Bemanistyle has like 50000 songs so go there and start searching for any song you can think of by title and you'll probably find a lot of them, or search for an artist name. For example, search for "Michael Jackson" and there are like 8 different songs.

Trying to use stepfiles with MP3s you already have is usually asking for trouble, because you probably don't have exactly the same MP3 as the person who made the stepfile, and thus it'll be off-sync. Even if it was ripped from the same CD, different MP3 encoders put a different number of milliseconds of silence at the start of a file, which can be enough to throw off the timing considerably. This is why stepfiles are usually distributed along with the MP3s they were synched with.
