Would someone mind explaining what exactly "the bug" is on the DCs. Some of my scores drop about 10% when I put everything into the calculator on itgfreak. Others will only fall a small amount. I hear it has something to do with the amount of misses.
I was just wondering if someone knew what the cause of this was, and also, if most people actually go to the trouble of correcting their scores, or just posting the "fake" ones. |

I think only R1 dedicabs have the score glitch. Version R1 unfortunately does not have a software update feature, so you're stuck with R1 unless you can convince the arcade to order a replacement hard drive -- which you should try to do.

It's only $30 to update, by ordering a replacement hard drive. Do whatever it takes. Mention not only all the bug fixes, but also the fact that once you're no longer stuck on R1, future software updates can be applies for free using the machine update feature. If I were in the situation of only having access to an R1, I'd offer to pay for the upgrade myself if they arcade manager would agree to install it. Maybe get a few of the more dedicated players together and threaten to take your business elsewhere if the machine isn't updated -- if a dedicated player spends $50 or so per week at the arcade, they'd be foolish not to spend $30 to upgrade if the players demand it.
But anyway, basically if you play on a score glitched machine:
1. Hitting mines does not deduct from your percentage.
2. Getting a Way Off or a Miss is basically the same as getting a Decent as far as score calculation is concerned. |

wow, thanks.
This does suck though, cause the caculator changes most of my scores on 12's (most misses and hit mines) by about 8%.
And I thought I was good at ITG.... |

Sorry folks, bumping my own thread up....
Anywho, so do people correct their scores if they post on groovestats and such? I have so many I don't really want to bother. |
