yes. I don't feel like being helpful now. I've been helpful all day. And I think I have unreleased stuff and I can't give that out can I? I dunno what's unreleased so I cant give anything out til I figure it out. Hmm... Nope.

You do know that Foonmix, Foonmix Plus, and Foonmix 2 can all be directly downloaded from the Foonmix website, right? The same is true of most of the other Japanese Stepmania mixes. I just retested the download links and they all still work.
Speaking of Foonmix, just today I discovered that it has a "hidden" song I haven't seen before. I'm sure others have found it, but I haven't seen anyone post anything about it, so here it is:
Look inside the "lastboss" song directory inside of Foonmix. You'll see that the song has been intentionally hidden/broken by renaming the extensions on the .sm and .dwi files so that Stepmania won't recognize them. Rename them back to .sm and .dwi and you have access to Foonmix's hidden boss song, "over the wall of Z". It's... weird. Enjoy... or more likely, don't.
Has anyone found any other hidden songs in any other Stepmania mixes? I know that Cheesemix 2 has one. The readme mentions it, and it's in the "Happy Trails" song directory -- a password-protected ZIP file containing the hidden song. Has anyone had any luck unzipping this file?
TV & Movie Theme Mix 2005 has a "hidden" song but I think it might have been unintentional... "KIRARI SAILOR DREAM" needs to have its files moved up one directory in order to load.
A good way to find hidden/broken songs in your Stepmania collection is to look in your log.txt and search for "WARNING". For every directory that does not contain a valid stepfile, there will be a warning in the log telling you about it so you can investigate. |

OKAY once again i have searched a million times, and a million times over for Injection Of Love (Hina Mix) Mp3..and its no where to be found. Ive tried soooo hard and i love the song. I think the other Injection Of Love really bites. (the one that sings in it). PLZ..if you have the decency in your heart....PLEASE!!! Fetcheth me that Mp3! >_<

You know what..the only difference in the song is that it has singing in it...i'll just use that Mp3 and put the correct steps for the Hina mix! XD i cant believe i didnt think of it sooner. But thx anyways guys i appreciate the help!! ^__________^;;

For those who like the Japanese Stepmania mixes, there have been a few new releases in the past few months that you might not know about.
Party Nite has released an Append 1 and Append 2. 42 songs total, 362MB. The downloads for Party Nite 1-3 are still working, and it looks like they have another one coming soon.
D3Mix has released a D3MIX2.5 and D3MIX AE. 38 songs total, 117MB. Downloads for D3Mix 1 & 2 are still working.
Foonmix released Foonmix 2 a couple months back (34 songs, 1.19GB), and the downloads for Foonmix 1 and Foonmix Plus are still working.
It looks like there's a PopCandy 2 in the works.
Strawberry Steps doesn't have any new releases, but the download for the original still works in case anybody hasn't tried it yet. |
