Okay, I was in Shibuya today and went into one of the 50 yen arcades to play some GG:Slash when I noticed something tucked away into the corner. I took a very short video so I wouldn't be accused of photoshopping this...
Ever have weird dreams regarding DDR or bemani, where the machine is just screwed up or just unplayably weird in some way? WELL MY DREAM CAME TRUE!!
THE MOST INSANE POP'N MACHINE EVER!!!
I managed to fail songs on this machine =D At 50 yen per play it is a complete rip off ={ Still, worth a look for anyone who likes more 'custom' style arcade gaming! |

Would you *please* read before you post a thread that states what others already do. _________________

Please tell me what he did wrong. I think this thread is perfectly acceptable as it is.

I think he meant that people already know about "custom" pop'n cabinets? Anyway, I didn't, and I lol'd. _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

That just looks like one of the standard arcade cabinets you see in Japan with Pop'n buttons on it... I don't get the joke? Unless the buttons are horrendous, I don't really see the big deal. I'd much rather play on a real Pop'n cabinet though for 100 yen. |

1 - it's not a real Pop'n cabinet
and 2 - The buttons are completely wrong. Pop'n buttons are large and dome-shaped. Those are flat round buttons. They're not the right kind of button for Pop'n. You'd actually pinch the skin on your hand if you were playing about anything on EX. _________________

#1 is obvious. I've played on and seen a real Pop'n machine before...
#2 guess I missed that. Even though I'm a novice pop'n player, I can't imagine it being comfortable hitting buttons with hard edges, good point.
Oh well if that's as bad as it gets in Japan, I can't imagine how bad it can get here in the States... at least cabinets are maintained over there, here things get broken/wrecked, and guess what, they stay that way. |
