Most girls suck because they choose to suck. It's usually because they don't want to get sweaty or look "stupid". I hate my gender for this. Yeah, there are good girls, but you know what? Most girls DON'T TRY, so when men say we suck, I don't blame them, cause that's all they see! Now the girls that think I'm wrong, prove it then. It's as easy as that. And just a little snapple fact for ya'll if you excuse my random Southern, girls have slower reaction time than men, but we are indeed more docile and lighter (in most non obese cases). SO in conclusion, if you suck you suck, if you're good your good. Leave gender out of it because you're just finding something to doggy about. _________________

Explain this' relevance to the topic. I don't think anyone really needed to know that you're an "oldskool" forum user. And DDR hasn't been out since the early 90s, so if you mean "I forgot about this boy/girl DDR thing since I've stayed away since the early 90s" you're incorrect.
i just meant that i forgot that male/female was an issue in general in the internet forum world...and i didn't mean to bash this thread--but there is a very different persepctive on gender difference on forums in general than in the real world.
any time people are grouped together b/c of their similarites, they will go out of their way to find ways to subdivide themselves within that group. you know, americans are westcoast/eastcoast/other, california folks are norcal/socal, and now ddr players are boys/girls, old/young, whatever. there are so few of us out there that get how totally awesome ddr is, we oughtta support one another regardless.
on the other hand, part of the fun is DEFINITELY the competition. so if it gets everyone more het up to be all "girls rule!" "no, boys rule!", more power.
you maybe did school me a little on trying to drop my been around the block creds. but that's only natural for an oldster in a world of rapidly proliferating youngsters. you won't eat me, will you? |

You guys should meet my cousins!!!!!
They got DDR for Christmas last year, and that SAME day they all became standards. 2 girls (15 and 18) and thier 12 year old brother. The 15 year old was able to do heavy at the end of the day!!! True story.
.....And it took me about 3 weeks to be a standard . |

haha... this is an interesting thread.
I've been playing for almost 5 years now and for as long as I have been, I have not accomplished much.. sadly.
I completely agree with Julie about the PA/10 footer part. My PA recently has been steadily getting better I've come close to about 6 AAA's on heavy around the 7 footer area.
I could do things like Temple of Boom on ITG and Hand of Time pretty easily.. and get around a 90% (on expert). (that was a while ago though, I stopped playing ITG and went back to DDR) So I couldn't understand WHY I couldn't pass Max 300... I always came close, but my stamina/endurance sucks.
IMO I have noticed most girls dont necessarily have trouble reading the arrows as much as they cant finish the song due to lack of endurance. (The semi-decent players I mean)
I'm ok at DDR, and I hope to get some AAAs soon.
I only just passed max 300 for the first time yesterday with a B.
so.. *shrug*
As for scoresheets I actually just started one at DDRrecall. I know I like keeping one. |

I want to see a girl AAA PSMO...
That wasn't sarcasm I'd really like to see it. Or a guy for that matter. Just in person so I know how to do the final run right. _________________

My best suggestion for PSMO is to grow a 3rd leg and learn how to slow down time.
More on topic, I know there's a decent number of girls in my state that could easily show me up...saddly I'm yet to meet any of them in person. The Deptford Mall crowd is mostly guys. _________________

I went to the Deptford Mall area years ago, long before they got a DDR machine, and the surrounding areas seem kinda... barren. You guys should trek up to North/Central Jersey, there are a lotta guys AND girls who play up there. |

I don't see how that's relevant, because you could both just as easily get an E and have "the same grade." _________________
