This is nice!

Good Job. What about the product quality? it only use 2 arcade foot sensors. Real DDR arcade machine use 4 foot sensors per panel. since it only use 2 sensors, it may not as good as arcade machine.

so far, It looks really nice and well constructed metal pad.

How is the Sensitivity ?

What about the compatibility?

It seems this metal pad has weekness in compatibility! RedOctane Afterburner has full compatibility of PS2, Xbox, and PC.

what about the "Doubles Bracket to play Doubles? "
I still see the weakness point in this product.

I have not test this metal pad so I can not say much about it, but by looking at the picture, it looks really strong and well made.

It is compatiable with any system pc xbox gc ps2 and it has dbl bracket compatibility not sure about sensitivity

its compatible with everything through multiple control boxes. just i think its better this way so that the control box doesnt have to process multiple systems at once.

im not completely sure, but i do know that its easier to process one task than 2-3

It appears that the Blueshark pad uses 8 sensors rather than 16 sensors like an arcade pad. This is not neceserily a bad thing because its not clear that 16 senosrs provide any extra sensitivity, just increase MTBF for the pad. I'm going to be putting the neon lights in mine I think, when it finally gets here

As far as compatibility goes, It seems these pads sold on mymybox and by premiumgame on ebay use a 9-pin serial cable which connects to a control box. The box has a dongle for PC,USB, and XBOX, possibly now gamecube. I doubt this pad will be any different but we'll see.

That image link is from this thread, and there are other images in there, particularly the 'update' folder has some nice shots, one that shows that the screws for the playing surface are high-quality machined type.

I just tested the pad today and I rate it 10 out of 10 works just like an arcade pad 100% response and it is durable. The only thing is its really heavy and the screws can come lose after lots of playing but can easily be retightened - no other pad Ive played on has been as good on 10+ footers

I purchased it and got it yesterday, feels just like an arcade pad and is great for perfect attack. Im not sure how to compare to cobalt flux I only played on one once without shoes over a year ago.

A) how thick are the arrow panels for real? Thicker than TX-2000 arrows (1/8 inch)? The design looks scraily like the TX-2000.

B) How's the bar? It looks like the flimsy thing I have on my TX-2000 with an added cover on the top that looks better.

C) Does it feel hollow when you step on it?

D) This one isnt important, but does it make "that noise" *arcade noise* when you step on it with shoes?

a) yes they are really 12mm
b) the bar is better than tx but not as good as arcade
c) arrows feel like the arcade
d) it makes a noise like the arcade but its a little different of a sound

I got mine today - I'll be posting pics sometime (yeah right) but not right now. The pad is very heavy - the 85lbs is not an exaggeration. It does not move at all when I play In the Navy (trick) and I weigh 190. It is so sensitive - the first thing I noticed was an immediate improvement in PA over my softpads and TX-5000. It is also excellent for FCA - no misses or ghost hits. It handles jackhammers very predictably, like an arcade. The bar is quite thick and although it flexes, the pad is heavy enough that you can bar a song without it feeling limp. I used bar on Dream a Dream and got 20 greats in my socks

Fans of 6-box stepcharts from solo will like that the metallic X and O corner buttons are quite responsive, better than afterburner. The control box uses a 15 pin d-sub similar to VGA so it wont work with much out there - bonus, it's PS2 only

, but at least it works well and is a nice looking control box. Longer review later, but overall great pad 5 of 5 stars.

PS I also want to complain about these control boxes in general. Having the buttons on top is useless - please replace them with foot switches, similar to a guitar effects pedal. Then I wouldn't be so upset about buying a new one for PC.

How about the sensitivity? is not it almost the same as TX 5000? by looking at the picture, it looks almost the same as other 3" metal pads.

I might have to cancel the order from CF to get this metal pad. I still can not decide what to get.

is it worth to invest $349.99 for blueshark metal pad?

CF? or Blueshark?

I have an afterburner and a TX-5000. This pad is not the same at all. PA on the songs I play went up immediately. I went to play my standard rotation and I started getting new high scores on everything - I'm serious. It isn't any more accurate than an afterburner in terms of FCA, but the feel of the blueshark is very arcade-like ans seems to result in better PA. One tell-tale sign was that I stood too close to the left arrow and my foot brushed it causing it to spin the songwheel - this is the kind of response that the TX-5000 totally lacks. Oh well, back to FCing heavy tunes on my new pad

I have played on pretty much every type of pad. TXwhatever, Red Octane, Cobalt Flux, old mymybox metal pads, and I have even owned 3 BeatGear pads.

So far I can say this much: Nothing has come this close to replicating the arcade. The BlueSharks arrow panels are actually 12mm thick, the same thickness and sturdyness as arcade arrow panels. The corner brackets are not arcade specific, but I'm ok with them. There are only 2 sensors per arrow as opposed to the arcade's 4, but that is plenty for home use. Solo machines only had 2 sensors per arrow and when they were well maintained there was no sensitivity issues.

I haven't actually played on it yet, I don't have time tonight. But tomorrow I will take pictures and do a full review that compares it to other pads.

How much does shipping cost?? I'm really interested in this pad now, and as I don't have a metal pad yet, might as well get the best to start off instead of wishing I hadn't wasted money...
