NEWBIE DAD NEEDS RedOctane PC USE INFO FOR KIDS XMAS

Hi,

I just got a Red Octane 3.0 pad.
I intended to use it with a PC (since we have nothing else).
It comes with a USB so I figure
it would come with a PC program and music etc.
(I'll wait for the giggling to stop).....

OK so what do I have to get to make this thing work with
an XP computer?
I need it as simple as possible - I am not a programer.
