for DDR Pads what do you prefer Recessed Arrows like the arcade or flat like a CF (without arcade mod)?
i prefer flat cause i dont like how recessed arrows feel. _________________

It's a little easier to flat foot on a flat pad, but I like the recessed arrows more. It's convenient to know right where you're standing without having to take your eyes off the screen. _________________

I like flatness better. I've never been on an ITG2 DC, but I understand those gaps are much smaller than those of a DDR cab. The pad I built at home is flat, and I've never had a problem of not knowing where my feet were, since metal and lexan have a distinctly different feel to them. _________________

I like flat. When I played on an arcade one, it took me a while to get used to it since i kept hitting the brackets or whatever when I moved. |

Ive got a custom where there's 1/8" difference between arrow and not arrow. I dont like completly flat like softpads or CF and the afterburner seems like its too recessed. A TX has the right amount of recession for me, but they're not made well enough |

I like Recessed now because thats what the arcade has now. but we used to have a DDR Extreme US arcade machine with flat mats at the arcade which was pretty cool too _________________

hmm im fine with both, (arcade modded my intec soft pad ;D) but for me flat pads i do better with, i tested MaxX Unlimited on Heavy with a konami soft pad and my intec recessed pad and i did wayyyy better, flat - 120 combo B, recessed - 60 combo C _________________

I prefer recessed arrows, because even if I do better on a flat pad, its bad practice for the arcade. When i'm at the arcade i'm not going to be able to sort of "slide" around onto jumps. |
