i hate it when people yell at the game and machine for it registering a miss when even they know their foot landed on top of yours instead of the arrow (actually happened). |

Bleh, I was playing at the arcade and this lady came watch me then proceeded to try to hold a conversation with me. I was like up to 200+ combo, hadnât mess up yet. and she started talking to me asking me how long have I been palying. and telling me her daughter plays and asking me about the game play. All this time im tring to be nice to her, but concentrate on what I was doing. then finally i loose my combo, start messing up from her distractions, then AFTER I have already done messed up, she says "I'll stop talking to you before I mess you up." and walk away
Another thing that happened was this guy was playing and failed so he got pissed and stomped on the pad as hard as he could in anger. It was on the side I play on too, I didnât appreciate that, but right after he did it the person working at the arcade got on him about it. _________________

My strategy with these people: Pretend you can't see or hear anything but the game. Don't look away from the screen, don't say a word. At most, give them a small hand gesture indicating "I can't talk now". If they understand that you're concentrating hard, unless they're clueless and/or jerks, they'll leave you alone until you're finished with the song. |

Okay... I don't think anyone needs the bar on butterfly... unless maybe you were handicapped... then wtf you wouldn't play ddr. |
I need it on Butterfly but it's not how you think. I use it in a way where I'm standing there with my hand on it out of boredom and trying to stay standing. I have at least 1 hand on the bar for anything about 6 and under just out of pure boredom.

i have the same problem |

It damages the pad. That's what's wrong with stomping. |

Well, not only the fact that it gets annoying, it totally beats the pad up... The pad's metal, but the arrows are plastic, they can crack and such. _________________

I went to the arcade today, and was about to play ITG2, then some guy runs up before me and put his coins in, he plays 3 songs and was stomping the pad like crazy. After he was done he left and when I went on the pad to play, non of the sensors worked, that pissed me off so much. Now the left pad at our arcade machine doesn't work no more, what a douche bag... |

Was it a Namco crapocab? If a pad can be completely destroyed in a single game, even with some stomping, I'd blame the manufacturer more than the player. And if it was a Namco crapocab, it was bound to happen sooner or later... probably sooner. Maybe he was stomping because nothing would register otherwise, in true crapocab tradition. |

Nah the pad works perfectly even though you dont stomp on it, but after he was done playing it, non of the arrows worked. |

The pads went from perfect to completely dead in just one game?? How much did this guy weigh? Stomping can be bad for pads over time, but I can't imagine one person killing multiple sensors in a single game. That's just weird. |

I just farted, and I can still smell the exaggeration/fabrication quite prominently.
Unless he weighed like 400 lbs, it just doesn't seem possible. |
