Hey!

Some tips for people who didn't finish Insane on Amplitude, and still want to earn their halo.

Try Cherry Lips on Insane, because it has the repeat buttons (left, left, right, right, right, right, center, center... etc) in the yellow track.

For the pattern I gave just above, instead of L1, L1, R2, R2, R2, R2, R1, R1, try this:

L1, square, R2, circle, R2, circle, R1, triangle. This is how to learn to do tough patterns like the Herbie Hancock drum thing.

So anytime it switches to a new one of left center or right, use the shoulder button. Any time there's a repeated position, switch from shoulder button to face button, and back if there's another repeat. Do this religiously, even if there's a huge gap between repeated positions, and it seems that it would be easy enough just to use the same button again. This will help make it a reflex, which will be necessary on the highest levels of Insane.

It will take a good two weeks to a month (!) of retraining (which could be done on Brutal) to learn, but it's well worth it! Good ones for retraining this are the Garbage and Papa Roach tracks.

One more thing: Use a PS1 pad. The buttons aren't analog, so the contact point is easier to feel. biggrin.gif
