|
|
I'm sorry if the topic has already been discussed, but for some reason the search function doesn't seem to work and I haven't found anything at first look.
The question is: how does the GH official controller compare to konami and topway GF ones? I've tried playing the game with the latter, because I wanted to test it before buying since the import price is so high. The game looks impressive, but I find it barely playable with the... argh... awful topway controller.... so, before importing, I would like to hear an opinion from someone who's ever played GF with one of the controllers I've mentioned.
Is the official controller on par with konami one, in terms of fret buttons and strum bar sensitivity?
Thank you

Topway = complete shi+. We don't even need to mention it. You can modify it a bit to be more bearable for GF, but passing hard songs? I'll be damned.
Konami = Good for GF, but not great, but it's the best out there for GF until the ASC comes out. The shoulder buttons are good, the pick is...OK. I kinda prefer the GH one, but I've seen the GH one go out faster than a KOC one.
GH = should buttons are OK IMO, they stick out too far for me, but I love the pick. Too bad I've seen picks become more "squishy" faster than I've seen GF ones.
That's my two cents. _________________

Ok just for the record, maybe I didn't have myself explained properly: i do own both a topway controller and two konami controllers, which I use to play GF, I know them very well and I agree with you the topway is barely usable but, incidentally, it is totally compatible with GH because the five fret buttons are mapped correctly. And btw, I disagree with you Baka because I find konami controller close to perfection and actually more performant than the arcade one, being lighter, smaller and equally responsive.
What I wanted to know is if GH official controller is any better than the topway one, because otherwise that would totally spoil the game... and, honestly, I'm concerned by your answer Baka because I was hoping the shoulder buttons would be at least as responsive as the ones of the konami guitar. If not, I think I'll rather save my money and wait for GF V....
