I saw this advertised in a banner ad on GameFAQs, of all places.
Konami is touting a "sing & dance mode" in the upcoming (soon) Karaoke Revolution Party. Anyone have any info on this? Does it use a dance pad...? _________________

Yeah, I've gotten the chance to play KR Party on several occasions. It's singing and DDR at the same time. You can probably find screenshots of it somewhere. _________________

The highest scores will be by humming bar-rapers. |

The sing and dance songs in KRP are fun.
You might want to know that the steps are sidescrolling and that there are no freeze arrows.
The game is out now, so go check it out!
Thanks,

I enjoy the Karaoke Revolution games a whole bunch; the new Sing and Dance mode definitely a fun one, but take Mitch here seriously: You're going to have to relearn how the arrows move for a bit. Especially if you want to try the harder steps.
For now I'll hang back and work on my singing abilities; I got owned. |

I'd like to try out the KR Party demo on Ex2 but I don't have a mic and I won't be paying 40$ for one. However, if I get KRP for my birthday and Christmas from my wife with a mic already in the package....
That's something I'm trying to figure out.
Mitch, there are harder steps in Sing and Dance mode? Like an easy and a medium if you will? I'm sure it wouldn't hard hard like say Afronova heavy. It'd be practically impossible to sing and ddr like there's no tomorrow at the same time... _________________

Mitch takes too long to respond.
Yes, there are harder steps. If I remember right, Material Girl is very very challenging to do.

I think there are 4 difficulties for each song (it might be 3...I don't feel like turning on the game to check). _________________

There's 4 difficulty levels (I think). It's not as awkward when you actually know the song you're singing, but that's about...1/10th of the songs on the mix, for me. I gotta work on it, when I'm not rocking the shirt out of Guitar Hero. |

I just got the game two days ago (birthday/Christmas present) and love it. I haven't tried sing&dance mode yet but will soon. Perhaps I can sing and my wife can dance, that way we'll probably get Diamond on a few things! _________________
