my pad broke how do i fix it???

i have a tx-1000 or atleast i think that's what it's called.
it's metal and i have the metal mod on it but
it still doesn't work. whats wrong???
somebody from gamefaqs told me there is probally a broken wire.
how can i open it up to find all the wires and circuts.
help is greatly appreciated.

hey, can u fill us in a bit on whats up withthe pad. how is it broken, cause "my pad is broken" is pretty vauge.

you could need somthing as simple as a new contorl box, or maybe you need to resolder a sensor or something.

We need more details. Is it not registering steps? Is it stepping randomly? Did you spill water on it? Is the pad ripped in half? We can't help you until you tell us exactly what is wrong (pictures work well too).

Once we have that, we'd be more than willing to help

the down button isn't responding. thats all i know, the pad looks fine though so pics aren't needed. i think i need to resolder something but i don't know how or where to find a soldering iron.
