Max 300 has awesome steps. What other DDR song has been talked about as much as Cartoon Heroes?? PSMO is famous for its crazy death runs. What ITG song has been talked about for its steps? All of them are for speed and difficulty. Not step quality. That is the difference. _________________

Max 300 has awesome steps? You're kidding, right? I'll let Rancidfish take this one, if he wants.
Cartoon Heroes has been talked about for no reason other than "OMG IT SHOULD BE A 10." The steps aren't terrible, but I'd hardly call them "good."
So, all of ITG's steps are known for their "speed and difficulty," but PSMO is known for CRAZY DEATH RUNS. Obviously that's not known for "speed and difficulty."
Oasis is not known for speed and difficulty, and that's a brilliant chart. Twilight isn't known for speed and difficulty, and I think that's one of the most fun charts in the game. Fleadh Uncut isn't fast or difficult, but it's fun. I could go on, but I've covered three entirely differently-styled charts.
The ITG stepwriters know how to make fun 10-11 charts without making them "omgfast" or "omgslow." Sure, DDR has some fun charts, but they're all freaking 8 footers, so they're too easy and boring anyway. |

I second that. Oasis, Disconected Mobius, Utopia. Fairly easy steps, but really good, too.
As for Max 300, I dunno. the fourth beats in the first part could have been replaced with something. Besides that, Max 300 isn't the type of song I'd listen to, and that is one of the reasons I like ITG better. _________________

okay you got apoint on disconnected mobius, buts that because i like the odd crossover patterns. Thats also why I like PSMO's death runs. They force you to stay crossovered. _________________

Yes, because surely Oasis doesn't have any such crossovers.
You've just broadcasted the fact that you have no idea what you're talking about all over this thread. |

You fail at knowledge. You should probably just quit posting in this thread if you want to save any shred of crediblity you might ever have. _________________

Honestly, it's an opinion. I hate Oasis' steps, but I will admit that they are uniqe and unlike anything DDR ever gave us. However, even though I totally would've thrown everything DDR away for everything ITG, I now enjoy DDR better as just a casual game. All those "boring" 8 footers are really quite enjoyable to me. After working my ass off to get as good as I am at ITG, I like just hangin around doing 8th note runs all night. I go and think about the random retardedness of things like D-Code and cringe.

The only charts I find fun in DDR are So Deep and MaxX Unlimited.
Charts in ITG I find fun. Disconnected Mobius, Da Roots, Euphoria, HoTN, Delirium, Bend Your Mind (Doulbes)... Oh yea these are all experts and I dont feel like typing more songs... |

okay, sorry for the fact i never played oasis before, not that i have, I actually agree with you. Those steps are quite fun and I wish that they would have ddr steps like that. Even so, the few songs that have that aren't enough to push ITG over the top. _________________

I went to the arcade to play DDR today (we don't have ITG here :\) and I just found myself only playing the following songs, all on singles heavy: Cartoon Heroes, So Deep, Burning Heat, MaxX Unlimited, B4U, Can't Stop Falling In Love -Speed Mix-. The rest are just not worth bothering with, and I wonder why I actually took the time to go and play DDR. After playing DDR for a long time, I found that I haven't played about 75% of the entire DDR Extreme songlist. Yep, only about 15% played.
ITG however... well, just read the other replies in this topic. ITG is just so good. Sure, from time to time we get crap like Hardcore Symphony, VerTex^2 and such, but ITG is as solid as it gets. |

hey man, I agree, mathematics is fun. But you should go back to preschool or something because if you've played 15% of the game, wouldn't that mean you haven't played 85% of the game. Or am I just crazy? _________________

Or maybe you should stop nitpicking his post so you can see the overarching point of it. Or so you can feel better about having failed at this thread. _________________

Or, we can go back on topic.
Pandemonium is pretty hard, yep yep. Probably the only Single song I would fail if I attempted it while tired. Scores are pretty close though (Pandemonium = 88%, Euphoria = 90%) so they're close. If I had the stamina to keep up my FA during Pandemonium, it'd probably be a walk in the park.
How did a Euphoria v. Pandemonium thread turn into one of those old lame DDR vs ITG threads anyway? There's too many of those. |

Pandemonium step jumps (and everything else) > the devil
Euphoria overall just isn't nearly as hard. I couldn't pass it (heck, I'm still working on Utopia, though I'm pretty close), but still I can get much farther into Euphoria. |

it was all me, all me.
oh synaesthia or w/e, do you really want to know how hard it is to have a debate where an entire website is against one person. Seriously now, I am the only one arguing for my case. I try to keep up what my point of view is while posting, even when its not the same as what it really is. I'm not saying thats the case here, I'm just saying it gives me more pride to win a debate on the opposite side that I want to be on.
Come now, put yourself in my shoes, how would you like it if at least twenty members were against you, and they were on a side that has a lot more +'s to it? It ain't to easy.
P.S. why do people put an apostrophe when they say aint? its not like it needs one, and its not like its a real word or anything... _________________

If there are more positives to one side than the other, than math says it's better... I guess >>.
If it takes more than a minute to think of a way that something is better, you probably just can't take defeat even though you realize your wrong(Not neccesarily saying that you are, I'm just throwing that out there). _________________

Actually, it is officially a contraction, and has an apostrophe in it. But honestly, it's the internet; I could question so many aspects of the grammar in that quote its not even funny. Honestly, questioning the grammar seems like much more of a waste of time or anything than putting an apostrophe or not.
Not that I hate you, I feel for you on that whole being on the weak side of things thing. |
