I just want to know where you think the best DDR location(preferrably one of the machine locations listed on this site) to get a crowd is?
I can answer that in Alaska the best place to get a crowd is Totem Theatres! |

This sounds like a region-appropriate thread. Otherwise, you basically pick the machine in the most densely populated area, and call that it, or something similar. _________________

Wanna know a good way to find this out? Go to the machine locations, click your state and then a ddr machine location. If you notice below the address and information, there is an item that says:
Machine Locations wrote: | Rate this location:
Don't come here
Hot DDR location |
You can use the ratings as a general guesstimate as to how popular and well working the pads are.
Although i must reiterate and stress the word guesstimate as a broad general statement =P _________________

well,8th mix is the best persay because most locations around the US have it.
ITG,if your location has it is by far better for attracting crowds because of the mass amount of arrows and mines at once. |

I was asking this as a national question not just your state or I would've put it in the regional board.
The rating of the machine's in the machine locations section isn't really accurate and I would like stories better than figures.
and es the biggest crowd I got was on an ITG machine but this is a DDR thread so were only talking about DDR
and anyway im sure everyone like's to hear stories about crowds |

Go to any capital city and find somewhere that is not... I REPEAT NOT an actual arcade. People in arcades have seen it all before, if you want crowds, go to a cinema or something. Or take a ddr machine out into the street... theres a plan for ya. |

From my own personal experience, it's hard to get crowds in arcades, because people there have seen it a million times =P even though, if you're doing something insanely awesome to watch, like say... PSMO doubles... even the regulars will gather up, guaranteed
Mall machine locations (the ones out in the open, very rare but there are a few) and movie theatres, have been where the crowd can get huge.
(Especially if you live in California, where everyone is better than you ~.^) _________________

In Montreal, Canada, at La Ronde, on Fireworks days, you can get often get "the biggest crowd possible for the machine". The kind of crowd where people in the back try to find an higher spot to see over the "front rows" and fathers get their kids on their shoulder to see you play. Video tapping, photos and cherring are quite common whenever you do any "hard" song.
I guess Amusement and Theme parks are the place to showoff^H^H^H^H^H^H^H gather big crowds. :) |
