The first Best Buy that I tried just had a copy sitting on the floor (near the igitions, PIU bundles, EX2 bundles, and some other large controllers.) So I bought it!
I've never seen any screenshots or anything, actually. GF + Klax? What?!! I guess I'll find out. |

i would say more Amplitude/Frequency than anything else. Hell, they even have Freezepop on there!
Harmonix did a great job, and backgrounds look just like Karaoke Revolution. I didn't care much for the music, but hey, it fits the style right?
The menu system feels a lot like SSX On Tour with its Punk/Rock feel. _________________

Mmm.. I just got it and I love it. I was mad that Best Buy didn't have the multiplayer pack, now I have to wait to buy a seperate guitar.
I love the music on it, and though I wish there was some other songs on there.. it only leaves room for another installment to the series. |

When I looked earlier this week at release dates, both EB and Gamestop had it listed as 11/1. If RO wanted this released on 11/8, then they didn't tell anyone about it. Or maybe the person that made that press release was ill informed.
Regardless, I'll have to go pick this up today.
Side thought - You would think they would have Respect on there over Cowboys From Hell. Or at least I would think so. And the lack of Metallica, old Green Day, and Nirvana sadens me. (tho we know metallica would never license their stuff, and courtney love probably wanted too much money for nirvana stuff) |

KrisnWo316 wrote: | tho we know metallica would never license their stuff | Actually, they'd love to license it, I'm sure. It probably just cost too much. Being all angsty about digital distribution methods is entirely different from licensing non-extractacle music in a medium like that. And anyway, if they licensed a song, it'd probably be one that all the P2P people have already, like Unforgiven. KrisnWo316 wrote: | and courtney love probably wanted too much money for nirvana stuff | That's not really in her control anymore. The songs are owned by Interscope, not her. She probably gets a cut in royalties, but I highly doubt that she has any say in licensing deals at this point. _________________

Well isn't it because of her that we've waited for this box set for so long now? Cause she didn't want to release a lot of the demos and what not? Maybe that's a seperate problem on the whole, but I think she might have as much power in the decision making process as Dave and (what's his name again? I totally forget... heh). |

I'd just like to say that I work at Best Buy and the game does not have a HARD Street Date. So it can be sold whenever it comes in. A HARD Street Date for example is the XBOX 360 Launch. We cannot sell the systems, games, or accessories until November 22nd. Since Guitar Hero has no street date just an instock date, we can sell it when we get it. Therefore, that's why Bestbuy sold it, it got shipped to stores and its available on bestbuy.com. Most of the stores in my area have already sold out of it so that's early signs of great sales and a great possibilty for sequels and who knows maybe Drum Hero. That's all I'm out. |

Got it today and I'm already hooked. I almost wish they had waited to release it during December... because this game is gonna be dangerous to my academic career. |

Yeah, pay attention to the amp on the song loading screen, too. The little knobs slowly turn up to 11 as the song loads. Heh.

Also, on one of the loading screens it says "Eleven IS louder than ten." |

Yeah, Stellar by Incubus! wooo! I can't reach on expert!
I'm not sure it's a game so much as it is a necromancy device, as I seem to have raised an army of zombie Guitar Hero addicts. I mean people just wander into my room from the hall and stare for a while. I offer to play, and they just don't stop. I had to shove them out of my room at 12:30, but I had at least 3 people from my dorm at a time in there for about 5 hours straight. "It's like crack"~guy from 4 doors down who never played it before. |
