well i havent been to the arcade for a little while, but the last time i went people have the weird (and annoying) habbit of leaving random markers to keep their place, then just leave (and not come back). Then when you try to play, they come up and start complaining. Well if you dont wanna get cut in the coin line, then just wait. _________________

People who decied to shout out your combo...Like one time on Midnight Blaze I was close to the end and these kids come up and one starts shouting out my combo. "150! One fifty tw....five.....eight...one sixty!" Very annoying after like, five seconds. And people who want to talk to you while your playing, or stand behind you while you're playing and are like "Oh, I can do that." And walk away. |

My least favorite thing people do when I'm playing is stomping on the ground really loud and laughing in order to get me to mess up. |

People who play EXTREMELY well, but play flat footed and stomping so loud you can hear it quite literally 200 feet from the arcade *hinttotheawesomereddyedhairguyinBloomington* _________________

Id like to see a Vid of someone doing this. I ve never seen it done for some reason.
Anyway, to keep the topic moving in the correct time, people who tell me to play quieter because their young child in a stroller is trying to sleep. (yes, this has happened...) _________________

People who cut in the freaking token lines.
All right, so last week it was one-token-day, as I label, it at an arcade. A token per music game. I normally get there early before it's crowded (actually, there's like a set 50/50 chance of it ever being crowded). Managed to play Extreme once.
All goes well till these guys come up and play. Line's about two token's long, so I put a quarter in third. Why? Personally, I get so lost in those lines and constantly forget where I'm at. I'm not gonna stand back and wait for a straight like... ten minutes, so I play another game, come back, and the second guy's on. Apparently, the guy accidentally took my quarter so after his second song, he gives me a token and I just put that up. When the guy's done, his friend gets on. I explain I was next and he goes "Well, you just put your token up, so it's my turn..."
I'm all mad; but it was my fault for not keeping track well, and then I did... something to stay occupied, I forgot. Somehow another dude goes up, and the token line gets longer. So while they're all at another game, I kinda demanded to know who the heck was up next (or annoyed the heck out of them) and they gave in.
Oh, and then these other people game in. I put a nickel up there after like three tokens. And that'd last like what? Fourteen minutes? Yeah, played another game, came back, found my nickel shoved to the end.
I was just like "screw it", played 5th mix for a bit, and left. Now that I think about it... 5th was right next to Extreme and that would've made my life easier... darn the Para Para machine, so far away...
Eh... unless I go with someone or meet someone there, I'm not gonna be seing that arcade again soon. Cause those people go there like every week; I just didn't run into all that trouble until last time.
... anyone know an easy way to actually tell which spot you're in and avoiding all this confusion with coins? I'm just gonna naturally assume using coins was a crappy idea. |

It does tend to bust machines. Busted machines = no fun.
Therefore, I say no. |

There is a name for this but I do not remember (I just recently returned to the scene). What is it called when you are playing and someone starts mapping your steps on the other pad and they are not really f@$ing playing the game. Go to freaking ddrfreak.com (i know I am posting on ddrfreak.com/phpBB2; i am emphasizing or reiterating the fact that people need to quit doing that and do the aforementioned) and read the step charts. I just sucks when you are learning a new song practicing for a PA tourney and people interrupt your concentration. Jesus son of mary, somn of joseph but not born of joseph but begat from god born a nazerene but in bethelehem.

Note: idont mean to be realy jerky or show-offy in this post.
I hate it when ppl do their dance routine who are really bad--right between ppl who are really good's routines.
ppl who show off--(accusing myself there somtimes.)
ppl who are like : "i kick @$$," but they really suck. _________________

What ticks me off at the arcade?
When people tell you to do a certain song. I'm up there to play my songs, not for you to decide what you think i should play.
When you get this smart alleck who thinks he's the bomb cause he can do the Legend of Max. AND HOLDS THE BAR THE WHOLE TIME. ON STANDARD! I can do it without the bar, at all. so stop bragging to me.
anyone who shadows me. its annoying as all get out and distracts me.
when someone tells me i suck. you know what? I don't care, go take it somewhere else.
people who jump up on the pad while i'm picking a song. i had a guy do that once. i turned around and said (cause i noticed teh playing levels where changing from standard to light back to standard and then heavy) "what are you doin?" he said he was practiciing and i told him to get off cause it was my turn...god...
i sound like a prick now... |
