I'm giving a DDR speech tomorrow - please read!!!

So I haven't written anything yet, but I'm doing it on why people should play DDR or other Bemani (how do you pronounce that word?) - including Step Mania.

Does anyone have any personal reasons why they think people should play? If so, post it with your name (PM if you must) so I can cite you in my speech. Thanks!

Ok - since my last post (haha, 10 minutes ago maybe?) I've gotten all my topics, multiple ideas per topic, and a few sources.

I'm not asking for people to do my homework...If you've ever taken a class in public speaking, you'd know one source can be people. Sooo, I figured ask people who are willing to share experiences so I can give more examples than what I already have.

By the way, I don't want anything from you if you're going to tell me off like that...it's a public speech...tsk tsk tsk...

For a little help:

People play because the game and the genre is indeed fun and addicting, but over time the bonds and friendships that are made is what make the game so popular. Now a days its true more and more people play at home for the game aspects, but they have their friends come over for a party or event to hang out while playing. Explore the friendship and community aspect, explain how DDR Freak and other sites have brought a bunch of people together. Some of us our lives have changed because of this simple dancing game. Weight loss is a nice aspect, I use DDR for my cardio, but socialization is really the key.

Bemani is pronouce BEE (like the insect), Mahn (like someone jamaican saying man) E (like the letter)

Why DDR, make it about ITG, for some reason I feel people would be more open to it (don't try and understand my logic, i just feel that way)
Anyway, two words: MUSIC and EXERCISE. Something everyone loves and something most people need more of (respectively). That, and meeting random interesting people in dark and dreary (gone are the days of hanging at HwP) or bright and open (yea for OFW since they finally got ITG and DM) arcades.
