What would you do in my situation?

I was at my local arcade, everything is going great. Just playing some DDR and for the first time I was going to AAA Max 300 I had all perfects so far and then BAM a damn bottle hits me in the head getting crap all over myself and the pad.....I got 1 great because of it and that is all that kept me from my AAA, naturally I screamed obscenities at him until I was going to pass out and then proceeded to nail him in the face with his own bottle.....and got kicked out subsequently.

But I'm just wondering, what would you have done?

A similar thing happened to me at the arcade, but it wasn't a bottle. Instead it was a dumb kid trying to act "cool" in front of his friends by shoving me forward while I was playing (Insertion Heavy, just in case anyone is wondering

). When that happened I just ignored him and kept on playing (luckily I passed).

So the answer to your question: (in my opinion)

If the person is still there after the incident, talk to your local arcade manager and get things straightened out. If you try to do anything back, (revenge, etc.), it will only bring you more trouble (such as getting kicked out, or banned).

Someone's a pansy for not kicking another person's ass, even when the only possible consequence is likely a ban from the arcade? Shut your face.

I punched some kid in the arm when he danced all over the other pad being a jackass and try to screw my game up on purpose. He succeeded in making fail Naoki Platinum at the farthest point I'd reached in it.
I ended up getting kicked out for the day, and nothing happened to him.

One time at my arcade, everybody was like ganing up on me, so I had no room. They really screwed me up on Crash. Instead of getting me the extra stage, they gave a long danger which gave a D. I was pretty ticked me off that day.

The answer to ur quistion would be, If u see a guy like that, leave and come back later.

That's probably the stupidest and most ironic statement I've read in a while.

For the guy who's "140 pounds of all muscle," you shouldn't try to mess with guys who appear to be at least 2 years older than you; if you do, you should plan on getting YOUR ass kicked. (140 is honestly pretty small, in my experience).

Original poster, definitely not what you did. Talk to a worker at the arcade about it, but don't offer physical retaliation, regardless of whether or not you could "take" them. People are always going to be jackasses, so get used to it. I used to play at an arcade in a bowling alley where I wouldn't be surprised if half the people there had some sort of concealed weapon. That's probably not how it is where you play, but there's no reason to take that chance. Even if you were doing as well as you say, you might have reason to be irritated, but nothing much more. If you did that once (almost AAA whatever), you can do it again.

When people do things like that, they're usually just trying to get a reaction out of you. The best thing to do is to not let them get to you; if you have to interact with them directly, be completely calm and emotionless. Don't give them the satisfaction of knowing they bothered you. If they're being disruptive and you're being cool, they're the ones who look most foolish. Clean yourself up (and the pad, if necessary) and notify arcade staff so that the disruptive people can get kicked out/banned from the arcade.

To the people suggesting additional violence, I sincerely hope you're joking. If you're not, that's just sad. Seriously, come on now...
