The arcade is definetily a ton better once you get used to it imo, plus once again the song selection is better.

That is so true. Although I do like "Dream a Dream."

Aracade because you can do a lot. You can meet people, show off, get better at using that metal pad. etc.

Though it breaks faster and sharing plus in esco.. the machine at the exBoomers wreaks trouble and the movie theatre ... left side 50% is the broken one. I read the steps to teh left.

Yeah home version is a bit cheaper....depending on how long beofre u wear it out.

well, I like the soft pad more times the not, my friend tim has the colbault flexs and I suck at playing those... so over the hard pads at home that people have, verses the arcade... I pick the arcade.

But then the flaws of the arcade... disturb.gif People watch you...

disturb.gif people being guys... that go to the arcades...

disturb.gif guys watching girls at the arcades... playing ddr...

disturb.gif me being a girl... and having guys watch me... disturb.gif

So I wear a jacket when I can while I play! ^^ haha

I like playing at home because you're not spending $$ (outside of what you already spent on the game) and because you can play for as long as you want without someone else jumping in on you.

But you totally miss out on the awesome arcade song selection. Which is one reason I'm excited about Extreme2 (which I probably wont get till Christmas, *sadface*) -- have you SEEN that track list?? (besides the crappy Britney Spears American additions)

I guess it all depends on what you started on. I started on the home version so playing on an archade machine is a lot harder for me. On machines I average a C, but at home I can easily get AA*'s on light mode, which is frustrating when your'e playing in front of other people and you want to show off your skills but you look like a big loser. disgust.gif So I definatly prefir home play.

I would say arcade, but the arcades near me ALWAYS have at least one of the arrows broken so you can never do double or versus, which sux hardcore. I can double at home because I have metal pads (Yayz 4 metal!)

arcade is a definate

the lowered arrows are so much easier, and the trick bar is a need plus for moi.

Arcade. I have metal pad and I love it, but the thrill of being at an arcade with people watching and cheering and all that good stuff, nothing beats it, nothing.

When I first started playing ddr I was very nervous about being part of the arcade scene. Just because of the number of people played, and strangers watching you made me really nervous.

For the first few months that I played ddr I would always practice at my friends house on his cobalt flux pads. I just felt more comfortable because we use to have big ddr parties at his house and i felt more comofrtable playing because I was surrounded by people I knew and we were all really great friends so that kind of eased the tension a bit.

I started the arcade scene when I was up to playing standard at my friends parties. When I first started playing at the arcade I started playing on light just to get myself into the arcade scene an some of the stress that comes along with it.

I definetely enjoy the arcade experience more because its definetely more fun when you have a crowd watching you. Having a lot of people there joking around and making total fools out of ourselves while being in public is definetely a plus.

dude the home pad is the easiest thing to fix, and to make it look and feel like an arcade, once people step on my dance pad made with wood they kind of like it better than the arcade E7.gif

I like using both but I wish I could get a metal pad for home. But have you seen how much them things are? At hartsunlimited, a standard pad is over 500 bucks!!! They say they make no noise but it's not true!!
