|
|
I was looking here to see if there was any news about a possible Taiko DM 2 but didn't find anything. I did see some posts about Best Buy selling the kit for $20 so I started checking all of the retailers websites and nobody was still selling it for that, but I did see some interesting news on Target's website:
http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=2-2/qid=1130332113/ref=sr_2_2/602-9516559-5575802?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=B000AVH2MS
Taiko Drum Master 2 for PS2
Availability :
This item will be released on February 1, 2006. You may order it now and we will ship it to you when it arrives.
I hope this is real. I can't wait. Too bad I just ordered a replacement drum for mine but maybe I"ll wait a week and buy one used from EB so I can get only the game. |

Now I just have to find my Taiko drum, and the sticks.
Might be easier just to get another drum. XD |

Double confirmed:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000AVH2MS/liblib/104-5994725-7431112
Another interesting thing of note, I searched for "Taiko Drum Master 2" (just like that) on Google and it brought up a thread on Namco's official forums titled "Taiko Drum Master 2?"
When I clicked on the link, I got the message "Topic/post does not exist."
I went to the main forums and looked in the Taiko Drum Master subforum. There were 3 topics, none pertaining to Taiko Drum Master 2. And in the lounge part of the Subforum it said "1 topic - 3 posts". When I looked in the lounge, there were no topics.
Hrmm....maybe Namco is trying to keep this a secret. _________________

I was going to go email Namco about Taiko 2 but I can't find anything on their site except for game hints and such. Maybe I'll just send it there. |

I just bought my third Red Octane drum while my namco is still working great. The RO drums keep missing hits on either the face or rim of the drum. I think the namco is better at this point. |

You'll have to forgive EBT. He hates Namco. And proper spelling. And I'll second that the Namco drum is better, both through my experience and the experience of a few different groups of people around here. _________________

I'm amazed the first one sold well enough. I hope this will be sold without the drum because I can't afford to buy another bundle. =O _________________

I broke my RO drum AND Dark Hogosha's Namco drum
I wouldn't say either drum is distinctly better than the other. |

If it was coming out, it'll be next year sometime. I mean the "release date" is February 2006. _________________

RELEASE DATE ON TARGET SITE HAS CHANGED
Yeah it's now april... what a great april fools joke that would be..
At least I have Guitar Hero to keep me busy now ... yet I wonder what are the odds that a new guitar Hero will come out before a new taiko _________________
