I waqnt to get a good metal pad, and I was thinking about the afterburner. But thats kinda expensive, so I checked on ebay and all they have is TX-1000 and XPG-6000 or something like that. are these pads good and are they worth the money?

Well, I have a TX and overall its a good pad but the control boxs for it stink so get ready to order extra control boxes for it. I have had to do some major soldering on the left arrow's wires also. But hey, I think anything u get will require at least some maintenance nerd.gif

If your passing ITG 10's and DDR 10's, you DON'T want a TX-1000, or anything off of eBay for that matter. Those are 3rd party pads that good players destroy.

I previously owned one and it died in the first month.

I'd strongly reccomend saving the money for a Cobalt Flux. It's worth it, and theres a free 6 month warranty, and they replace most of the stuff for free.

Nothing personal, but this thread laid down a few forum rules, two of which are:

Cutriss, in that thread wrote:
DO NOT POST A "WHICH PAD SHOULD I GET?" OR A "PAD X VS. PAD Y" THREAD.
If you're trying to choose between two or more pads, then post IN THE THREADS FOR THOSE PADS. Do NOT make a new thread for this.

DO NOT POST A "WHICH PAD IS THE BEST?" THREAD.
If you really want to know, do some research. You'll narrow it down pretty quickly. Do *NOT* post a thread asking for information that you could have easily found by looking - why should anyone else exert effort on your behalf when you were too lazy to find out yourself?

Now, several people have had problems with the Afterburners (not sure if the problems have been fixed), and anything cheaper is liable to be much worse. I'd avoid TX-anything like the plague.

P.S. Yes, I realize that the start here thread's a bit dated.
