The control box on your TXseries DDR mat is dying. Game over.
Buy a Cobalt Flux or something... |

Not so fast - it might be salvagable. Since you can play games fine on your PS2 (it's just the controller that's acting funky), the problem's not there. Since the problem only seems to occur intermittently when pressing X, you can try disassembling your control box and checking all the sauter points - maybe the X connection is sticking.
Incedentally, which sort of metal pad do you have? _________________

sounds strange. worked on extreme but not ITG. maybe its jsut coincidence. maybe it just stops working over time. doesn't seem like a physical pad issue, cause that same button would be effected every time u start the game. sounds like a PS issue or a control box issue.
do u have the regular PS2 or one of the tiny re-released versions?
i heard the tiny oens have issues like overheating and such after a few hous of play.
but most likley may be a control box issue. like i said, i think u may be able to rule out a physical sensor pad problem because its not a reoccuring problem on a single button. |

it may be your PS2 then, i don't think those things can handle extended periods of play. but 7 songs is nothing. perhaps its a combination of problems with the tiny PS2 and a shoddy control box.
i would suggest to see if you can try the pad on a buddy's system and isolate the issue. if it seems to work ok on another system then we can certainly say the issue is that the tiny PS2 can't handle the long play of DDR; or if u get trouble with the pad on both system we know then the control box has issues and that is only about 15 bucks to replace. |
