Oh, some things I don't like are when people stomp way too hard on the arcades, that's my #1 pet-peeve. they try to look way better than they are. That actually happened once and after they got off I started doing B4U Heavy and they started yelling how "a chick can't dance" and how "I should worry about my nails" so I got a AA and turned around and said "Top that" and they went all red and failed Telephone Operator and it was so funny E4.gif

Can this thread get back on topic?

I don't like it when people play two games in a row because they played alone the first round, and they join their friend right after without asking if anyone else in line would prefer to play.

I would assume the only thing he could mean is people that pretend to be worse than they really, which only "cheating" if a Heavy player entered a Standard bracket in a tournament or something.

Yeah, sandbagging is basically, as said, entering a lower difficulty than you are capable of.

Anyways...This is actually more of a problem with the arcade itself, but when something simple breaks, like an arrow or something, and they don't repair it til the "repair day" of the week. Yes, my arcade doesn't repair machines til Thursday of each week, though it does mean for nice pads on Fridays... But by something simple, I mean like a cracked arrow, stuck button (as in the menu select buttons) or something like that.
This does pretty much ruin the gameplay on at least one side of the pad...and I do enjoy my set of doubles every now and then...>.<

I don't see why that would be a problem though, since you have to wait for their friend to finish anyway you're not waiting any longer than you would be if they didn't join their friend. Unless you mean their friend cuts in line.

I don't like it when people play over and over without seeing if anyone else wants to play just because there's no coin on the machine. I know that any arcade regular, or someone whose been to the arcade a few times would know to put up a coin on the machine to mark your turn in line. But there are people who are new to the arcade or maybe some kids who came with their parents and just wants to try out the game that wouldn't know that.

That's exactly what I mean. They cut EVERYONE in line by taking a turn right after their turn.

If someone's dumb enough to not ask for a turn, keep on playing.

the things that annoy me the most

1. people playing ddr while "bar-raping", if they pick the song and then have to use the bar, they suck.

2. people that like the game but dont know how to play and they ask you how to play while your playing a song, it can really mess me up.

3. people that like to "sandbag" their difficulty(stupid cheaters)

4. when people like to try and showoff, and when they do do the weird stuff they fail the song and just look stupid.

that is about it for now i might think of some other stuff later.

So essentially, you hate when people enjoy the game in a manner different from your own style.
Just checking.

ok let me rephrase it then:

1. when people choose a song like one of the max's and they have to use the bar and they still fail, if they are gonna fail thay should at least go down in flames while doing there best without the use of the bar. the bar is there if you are about to loose your balance or if you are about to fall.

2. im would love to talk to people about ddr but just not while im in the middle of a song. plenty of people will agree with me there.

3. if you are in a tournament and you just played a person on heavy and they were doing very well and when a tournement comes around and now they are on standard or light, like i said (stupid cheaters)

4. i ment people that try to look cool in front of their friends and they dont even like ddr and they play with you and they do this stupid crap and it can mess you up and they might bump into you and make you trip.

there i hope that cleared things up

i love for people to enjoy the game but if they want to act like this then i can get upset.

when people play over and over again w/o seeing if ne one else wants to play and they do the SAME SONG THE WHOLE TIME....my friend was at the arcade, and he called me from his cell phone....he was telling me about this guy who was there for FIVE HOURS playing...oh god...play CRASH! goog.gif, ON LIGHT, and STILL getting nothing higher than a B...that's all he played, all 3 rounds, all 5 hours...W T F??

Also, noobs that wanna screw around and say u suck, when they play on beginner...I had that happen one time, so I FC'd Destiny Lovers, which isn't much, but it sure shut them up. laugh.gif

The bar is there. People will use it. It doesn't make them stupid, or bad players, ESPECIALLY if they're using a bar on Max.

The CRASH! player was playing a game with his own money.
Did you friend ask to play, or just stand there waiting for the kid to walk away when the kid really had no reason?

i can totally agree with you on that. Bkid's friend should have grown some balls and went and played or asked if he could play with him. If for some reason if that guy would not let hin play his friend could have talked to someone that works there and then he could have played. on the other hand, if i were playing with that guy and the songs that he picked were nothing but CRASH! that can get annoying, but hey if they get to choose the songs and thats what he wants to play then oh well.

I really, really, REALLY hate Northern New York. Most of the people who go to the mall have little kids that grow up to hate "the colored race" as one kid put it. Situation: The redneck kids that range from 12-21(all of which want me dead) are in the arcade the same date and time as me. Problem: I am a 5'12 hispanic with a pirate hat and a DDR shirt, they all know who I am and like I said earlier parenthetically they want to kill me, and I am very freaking easy to spot. So the fatass of the group is all like "Like push this doggy and make him squeal like a pig" so he suceeded in the former and pushed me. I was in the at the end of HVAM and AAAing it, he pushes me and I miss the whole last part of the song. I am pissed, not emo kid pissed;veins popping, eyeballs red, dark aura pissed. I get up and kick him square in the nads and then in the jaw. The kid is cursing and runs out of the arcade. Then the manager is all like "Okay, who am I giving a ban out to?" then I explain in explicit detail what they did, they got banned from the arcade for 5 years.
(BTW, srry so being long and drawn out)

I hate it when little kids who dont know any better wander onto the pad while your playing or waiting to choose a song, it seems to happen to me quite often, and it annoys me even more when their moms wont do anything about it

I also hate it when acade machines arent kept up very well, especially when you have to STOMP on the arrows so that it registers you even hit it

Is your arcade a Tilt? All of their DDR machines suck because they don't care to fix machines.

HI ^^ this is my first post! anyway back to the matter at hand

1. people who try to talk to me while I play
2. people who stand 3 inches from me while I Play
3. People who watch me play and then tell me I'm doing it wrong and then corrects me on how to do it. (I dont mind advice but the way some people tell me -_-)
4. Newbs who donno what putting your coins down means, so even though a bunch of people do it, and they try to play again.
5. People who are not playing, but tries to pick you song.
6. People who ask me for money
7. when some little kid gets on the pad while your trying to play and their moms don’t do anything. And you have to stop playing to avoid killing them and you loose.

I never have any problems with people making fun of me, but then again they could be doing it discreetly. But for the most part where I play all the passerby’s stop and look in awe even at the n00bs.

There was this one time I was trying to play and this kid got on the pad and messed me up, but his mom took him off right away and I was able to finish the song, the cool part is that when they were leaving she gave me the rest of their tokens for what he did. It was a crap load too ^^
