I went to the $2000 DDR tournament in New York and Kyle Ward was there showing off ITG2 and i played it and there was a new song on it called "Stop! and Go" by Onyx. It had no expert difficulty and was an 8 on hard. It definetely has the most stops of any song in ITG2.

I can't wait to check it out. I'll be at DigitalLife tomorrow with camera in hand. Hopefully I can get some clean footage of it.

And now we know that songs with non-locked double experts can have locked single experts. I'm looking forward to Habanera 1 (Expert). I thought it was weird that I remember seeing Baby Baby with an Expert at the Narrows beta. Here's hoping there's one for Hustle Beach. biggrin.gif

Where are you getting that info from, Kyrandian? Have you been to that 2000$ tournament thing too? And can you give us some more info? Pretty please.

I'm on the wrong coast. I got the info from this thread: http://itgfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3403&start=45

As for the Baby Baby thing... it's just something I think I remember seeing. I don't know if that chart actually is or isn't on the machine.

I just got back from DigitalLife (that $2000 DDR tourney) and am confirming the Stop 'n' Go song. If I'm not mistaken if was a Novice - 1, Easy - 3, Medium 6, and Hard - 8. I didn't get to play it and Kyle Ward just kinda smiled when I asked him about it.

On a side note, I saw him play Monolith Expert on 4x with Robot, Wave, Accel, Decel, Fade In, Fade Out, Center, and Dizzy Mods on and still star it. It was actually kind of ridiculous.

Oh and... Guitar Hero rocks. RO took Guitar Freaks to the next level. The greatest things about it are the (1) the authentic sound of the guitar and (2) the selection of artists to choose from.

Were the Baby Baby expert steps good? I like that song, but don't like doing it because I'm straight.

(just kidding, but it still feels a little weird.)

The Red Octane booth had what appeared to be a linux box running ITG2 on an LG HD monitor with two Afterburners hooked up. It was actually a pretty sweet setup.

Unfortunately I wasn't wearing "playing shoes" and the bottoms of them kept getting stuck on the edges of the pad. That was my first time playing on an Afterburner. Wow, the Flux is so much more forgiving...

As I said, I didn't get to play Stop and Go, but I saw it quickly as Kyle was flipping through the songs. Below is a picture of post-Monolith Kyle, then a picture of myself and my fiance's sister playing Fleadh Uncut (she picked the song and there was a long line of people to play behind us).

Someone reported seeing ITG2 PS2. It was on a slim PS2 as well. As I heard, that meant it wasn't running off a dev kit, maybe even close to being finished.

Do you mean you had any doubt ITG2 Home Version will come out?

Oh, no, I knew it was coming out. It's the "close to being finished" part that has me all excited. If it's in a demoable state, with any luck, it could be a matter of just a couple of months.
