I was just wondering if a lot of people often see DDR arrows while they blink after they play a lot of ddr because it's becoming a serious problem.

This is often referred to as "white line fever." You'll notice a similar effect driving on the highway for long periods of time (like, a few hours); you close your eyes, and see the dashed lines scrolling ahead of you.

This topic comes up quite frequently around here, and what I find kind of strange is that people seem rather distressed about it. Personally, I've never had such an issue, so I guess I can't really understand the problem.

Yeah this does come up frequently, and yes I do get it.

However I only seem to get this when really fatigued after playing like 4 hours+ straight E15.gif

It happened to me frequently for about a month after I started playing, but it doesn't happen anymore.

For me, it would happen when I had just started to play heavy. I would see arrows in color and moving for about an hour after playing. If you are annoyed, just try to dance the arrows as you see em in your head. Just don't do that while anyone is watching . Anyways, I think it will probably go away after you play more.

If you think seeing Blinking Arrows on DDR is bad enough, just try playing that Survivor Blinker (Single and/or Double mode) course on In The Groove 2! Now that is a total trip! Please reply, over! Thanks!...

Ya I see arrows many times after I play DDR. I also see them when I am sleeping, and when I'm driving. It gets pretty distracting sometimes E1.gif

I've been playing for six years and I'm used to the blinking.

i usually use this as a way to judge how much i've played. once i start seeing arrows when i blink, i know it's time to go get something to drink. once i start seeing arrows even when i'm not blinking, i know it's time to go to bed.

SEE BLINKING ARROWS!? OMG YOU SHOULD GO TO DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY!! nah its normal, i guess when you've been playing for a year, you just see it so often that it becomes normal. i'd be more concerned with how sore my legs were gonna be the next morning though.

Yikes. I know what you're talking about. I can't blink while an arrow is being hit. My eyes can time every blink to support the arrows up to 600bpm.

To answer the question though, Practice for a month on 1x heavy and switch over to 2x or 3x.
