A world without Paranoia? What would it be like?

Can't say I'd miss the Paranoias. (Or the Disconnected songs in ITG for that matter, since Roxor wouldn't have felt the need to copy Paranoias that didn't exist.)

...in fact, I'd be quite happy without those sorry excuses for 'music' (except for the obvious problem of not knowing that I was missing if they didn't exist, but that's a quandary for an entirely different thread...)

They could just make the step charts for other songs harder, or introduce entirely new songs that are just as hard. I could live without them, honestly.

Well some paranoias are good so if they took it away id maybe kind of miss it. Paranoia max (dirty mix) favorite paranoia.

If there was no paranoia in DDR it would be an easier game.

Since almost all DDR songs has at least one Paranoia sound (including Trip Machine), the Paranoia songs are the ancestors of DDR and without them, where will Naoki make a good song like Trip Machine, Dynamite Rave, Sakura, the Maxes, if there wasn't even a single Paranoia song to recycle from. They are the songs that conveys and makes all of DDR's songs sound better. This is why Naoki Maede himself made the Paranoia Series because of that.

Also, many of his songs would be over-remixed.

DDR would be a easier game to do.

Some song would be less fun.

DDR sans PARANOiA =

--no challenge

--from a financial standpoint, Konami would resort into spending more on licensed songs, or bringing over more in-house from other franchises

--NO FLAGSHIP songs series for DDR.

BeForU was easily the heart and soul of DDR, until someone in Konami thought that it's a threat to the current structure (read: Konami's blatant overfunding of IIDX/pop'n).

Hmm..
Just wondering why everyone thinks that Trip Machine would have taken it's place...

I mean, yeah, they are another already multi-mixed music series, but that doesn't mean they would have taken paranoia's place..
Also, I'm pretty sure they would have come up with something, just not called "paranoia". T'would have been funny, actually, if they came up with like an entire mental series, composed of like...Paranoia, schizophrenia, and other stuff like that...and they'd all be hard-as-hell songs...but each would match it's name...paranoias would all have kill-zones so you'd be paranoid about failing after beating most of the songs, schizophrenia would have like 20 different kinds of music...you could also have ADD, but I think the normal backgrounds already cover that pretty well...xD

Like everyone else has been saying though, something else would have taken it's place, or been remixed n times, or made our ears bleed, whatever. Anyway, I actually sort of like the paranoia songs, they have an ambient hardcore feel that makes them interesting to listen to if not necessarily pleasing.

Without Paranoia, I'm sure Trip Machine would not completly take over, but right not DDR Extreme 2 has no Trip Machines and its a real boombox! One game without it is no problem but total absence is a catastrophy.
