My pad i am pretty sure it is homemade or atleast made from an online ddr comany. i got it off of ebay but the design relates the most to the BNS pad so i figured it would be an appropriate spot to post.

my matal pads's left button is cracking in the plexiglass. it started off small and i thought it was only a scratch. but than when i was playing it got bigger and it slowly cracks bigger each time i play. i am afraid it is going to split and ruin the sensors or the wiering underneath. is there a way to stop it from cracking or should i just replace the plexiglass. and if i replace the plexiglass is there something i can do to stop it from cracking again.

Is this pad any good? http://www.buynshop.com/productinfo/44/VG-DDRXBPDMA/

I was just curious because it looks pretty accurately portrayed to be an Arcade Pad. If anyone has this pad or has used this pad please tell me wat u think.

hello friend,

I had the exact problem you are experiencing. My left panel is completely broken up now and the sensor is no longer working. I am still trying to fix it. It is giving me a really bad time and I want to just sell the pad now. I've been looking for replacement sensors and what not, and apparently, I have no luck. If you are worried about the sensors being harmed from the cracked Acryllic, just buy replacements for them. I have seen them available and they shouldn't be too hard to find.

Good luck.

Hello. I noticed that my acryllic has cracked in both the right and down arrows, so I plan to replace them. I have noticed that this pad uses a thin black foam and two strips which look like foil tape to use as a sensor. I was just wondering if this foam and tape is available at stores, or will I have to find a different way to replace my panels. Thanks.

I also have a new problem. It seems as if my cbox is broken. I checked on the BNS site but couldn't seem to find a replacement one. Anyone know where I can buy/make a new one?

ok seeing what was said above about the thin foam and the metal tape i now know that the pad i bought was a total rip off of a bns pad, its exactly the same model. so does anyone have any advice on replacing those cracked panels because when i look at it it looks very hard to replace if anyone has some type of guide or something. and looking at this topic i am not the only one with the cracked button problem.

This is what I did to replace the cracked panels:

I peeled off the black foam thing that was attached to the panels. Then I went and purchased some lucite. I got mine cut at a store, and it was only $7 for 3 panels. You can cut them if you like, but it is easier having someone else cut them for you. Then I taped on the LED lights to the new panels, and put the foam back on. I don't have any design for these panels, but they work fine.

hey sorry for bumping the topic. will BNSUSA still send your a cyphergames metal pad or a bluespark pad instead of the actual BNS metal pad? im thinking of buying this but a few questions
A. are these panels bowed up like TX-1000
B. how good is the soldering with these pads
i mainly want to know if BNS still rips people off with CG Metal pads or Bluespark metal pads

What I heard is the same thing!
If you order BNS Metal Pad, then BNS will send you CypherGames metal pad or CypherGames BlueSpark metal pad!

why do not you buy directly from cyphergames or ask BNS to refund the difference of metal pad price.

i sure hope this is not the case, but i don't think it is. i got their new pad, jsut ordered it, i'm foaming at the mouth in anticipation. and it was clear on what it was so there should be no confusion about what i bought considering it's unique design (pure reflective metal). so its hard to confuse an all metal fusion pad, the face of it is pure reflective metal, with a clearly differant bluespark with colored panels and such.

if that does happen i'll for sure contact them immediatly, but i have faith, they're DX pad and customer service hasn't failed me in the past and like i said the pad i bought is pretty impossible to confuse with another pad (i don't think there are many like it with similar look). plus they just changed up their website so i'm hoping they did step their game up a bit and new style pad is as good as it looks. koofu can be found humping said metal pad in this thread haha: http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=109105
(pad better be good, i'm a poor student, burning anyhting more than $50 bucks will bring me to tears, i'll be pretty depressed but pretty damn livid at first, hahaha).

anywho, i have faith, keeping my fingers crossed. the new pad is gonna be sweet.

yeah, i agree with these people for BNS's last line of metal pads, they blew buttocks to tell y'all the truth... especially the reviews on bluespark. but it seems like they finally found enough sense to switch manufacturers or some sort and are actually back to selling " THE BNS" BNS pads yayy. But this time they changed the metal pad design, its like a huge reflective panel, so cool so you won't even sweat after dancing.. no im jk. BUT YEAH, LOOK AT MY SEXY PAD MUAHA! devil.gif

I compared the picture on BuynShop and the one on the BNSUSA website, and they look slightly different. If you notice, the one in the beginning of this thread has brackets that extend down the sides, while the picture featured here: http://www.flarex.com/bnsusa/main.html doesn't. Is the first one not a BNS Evolution or am I missing something here?

BuyNShop is obviously trying to purposely scam people being that they're selling pads made by a different company instead of their own BNS pads. I'm planning on ordering this pad, but if they send the wrong one, I'll be really pissed and make them send me another one.

BuyNShop only lists their pads as either Fusion or just plain old metal. How do we know which version the regular pads are? E19.gif

well sadly my parents might not get me a CB and the arcade mod for christmas(totals to 375 dollars) E2.gif , will this pad be second under the CF? i dont want the RO AB because of the crap control boxes (unless they're fixed) and i read that someone did the sheet metal mod on their AB and it didnt work that well. so which pad would be second after the CF, the BNS Metal Pad, or the Redoctane Afterburner or the TX-4000? i dont want to get a TX Model cause of the bad reviews i read. nor do i want a BNS Fusion, cause its TOTALY flat and i hate playing ddr on flat surfaces. what control boxes is this pad compatible with? incase the control box i get breaks down. and can u make lexan panels for this pad?

EDIT: omfg i think BNS switched to selling bluespark pads now! instead of selling the BNS Pads. because in the product description in www.buynshop.com, it states that this pad is V3 BLUESPARK and is dual platform compatible.
the BNS Metal pad is v2.53 not v3 and when people got bluespark pads instead of bns pads, theirs said v3 bluespark. and didnt the BNS v2.53 Metal pad not have dual platform compatibility? while the Bluespark does? i think www.buynshop.com now sells Bluespark Metal Pads instead of BNS Metal Pads. E2.gif . i hope this isnt true.

EDIT: i might buy the TX-4000 or Innex Metal Dance Pad. so if i cant get a Flux i have four choices
1. BNS v2.53 Metal Pad
2. TX-4000 Metal Pad
3. Innex Metal Pad
4. Redoctane Afterburner

I hope you went with the RedOctane Afterburner. That's what I did - trashed the old piece of junk and bought myself an Afterburner after debating over whether to get the Flux or Afterburner. I ended up with the Afterburner because of the "arcade-feel" from the lowered panels. Their support is great. Panels still haven't cracked yet and the thing takes heavy beating.
