I am sorry if this isnt the right forum for this question.

I have a Pump It Up pas for PC that isn't working for some odd reason. I just got Exceed for ps2 and was wondering if it would be hard to open up the pad and attach a PS2 cord to it, maybe rewire some of the wires to fit the ps2 configuration and thus use it as my second pad.

I don't know what part of the pad isnt working, but I think it might be the USB part of it.

Well let me know what you think

thanks

Hey, I've had the same problem too, but no help on the matter frown.gif (posted here http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=109977)

Do you by any chance have Windows XP with service pack 2 installed? I think that's the reason mine isn't working, since it works fine with any other PC that doesn't have SP2. Apparently Windows XP is very temperamental with pump pads (especially the older ones), so some people are just unlucky with it.

oh - I just reinstalled XP today and DL'ed service pack 2...fugde!

So maybe the pad is working. I'll see if I can connect and old PC and see if it works.

Good luck with yours too

Try uninstalling SP2 (it should be under add/remove programs, make sure 'show updates' or something is ticket). I'd do the same but I have a new PC and SP2 was built in, so I'm stuck with it.

Good luck anyway, and thanks biggrin.gif

Is it the evolutionary Dance floor you got? I was going to hook it up but realized I misplaced the game. Got no clue where it is.

Seriously, the evo dance floor version is worth less than a scratched coaster. The song quality sucks.

Anyway - since the Prex seems to come with the same pad, it should work under XP, hm? If anybody is reading this please let us know if XP , Prex and your pad is working.

Thanks

Yeah, the terrible US game E15.gif My pad's almost 3 years old now cos it got it with that game. But it works with every other PC I've tried with XP, just not this one with SP2. This includes the other games, such as Prex 3. So the only thing I can think of that stops it from working is SP2...
