|
|
I've had an ignition 3.0 pad for a while, but recently the pad's up arrow hasn't been responding, so I got this new pad I found at Fry's. It is a Ps2/Xbox controller, but I thought that I could swap the usbcable from my old pad to this pad, but nothing happens. I tried searching online, and I found drivers for the same xbox/usb cable, but I can't make it work (XBCD). Does anyone know where I could download the drivers (and more importantly, install them), on my comp? I'm running XP Pro, but it doesn't show up as an unknown object (the plug and play feature) when I plug it in. =\
Any help would be grealt appreciated smile |

Make sure that you're using the XBCD Dance pad driver. Download that (if you haven't already) then under device manager (Erm, I'm assuming theres a device manager in XP, never really used it ) reinstall the new driver.
Theres a chance you could have a problem with the buttons not being mapped to axes with your new pad. Basically what it means is you won't be able to jump on two arrows simontaniously. I've seen this problem with a lot of pads that use the XBOX->USB splice.
Thats about all I can offer being a win2k user. _________________

Try this link it tells you how to install and configure your controller and it had the drivers you need I think.

Nothing is working =\. I think part of it may be because I don't know where to install the drivers for the dance pad. Also, I can't get XP to even recognize there is some sort of hardware connected to it (the pad). It works perfectly with my other pad, but it doesn't see it in this other one. I checked it out on an xbox to make sure it works and it does beautifully.. |

Ummmm have you ever thought that your pad just broke for no apparient reason.... try it in a ps2 or xbox and see if that works. Windows XP Pro sometimes is really stupid... so I suggest you get some windows updates. If this doesnt work then that is just a POS..... _________________

It's brand new and works perfectly on the xbox and ps2 (it didn't say on the box that it was compatible with the pc, but it didn't say it wasn't compatible). I want to switch the USB cable i had with my old pad with this one (it has the removable USB connecter). I think my problem is trying to find where to install the drivers for xbox controllers |
