I want them to make Exotica(Kaw's Ampcast) a 12 that reminds people of Euphoria a lot. Because I love Euphoria.
Or a really fun 10. If it were a nine I'd have to beat them up, and if it were an 11 I feel that it'd probably become meh. _________________

I think everyone can agree we need a 14, we need something hard for even Mike and Kevin to pass. _________________

Let's not forget the doubles 14 for TJ3 either.
Seriously...I don't know how the staff decides on what songs become a 13 or just a lowly 9. If I know MJ, though, he'd have no problems trying to come up with a 15 blocker. _________________

What do you know, but it was fast and difficult, yet simple, straightforward, and fun. _________________

It would be nice if there is just one 14-block song in the game. That 14-block song should be either VerTex^3 or another song by ZiGZaG, possibly breaking the 400 BPM barrier for most of the song. I would like to see dancers on the screen and new freeze arrow types. It would be nice if Kyle Ward would release ALL of his songs in ITG3, including his new tribal house song, Exotica. A Disconnected Trance would be pretty cool as well. |

Uh, what do you mean 400 BPM barrier? Doesn't VerTex, VerTex^2, Robotix all have parts that go higher than 400? _________________

Yeah... why bring back the bad side of a situation when it's been over ages ago? Anyway...
Yet I'm not quite sure if I want to see a 14 or not, the reason being that this game must not fall into the exponential difficulty increment scheme that almost every game sequel (or genre sequel) falls into, in my opinion.
You see, giving ITG a 14 will be hard at first for the best players (such as Kevbo), but they'll get the hang of it and get incredible scores on 'em. Then what will be next? Harder 14's and new 15's and so on? When will this end?
This will also widen the gap between those who play competitively and those who play for fun. At this rate, it'll take a couple of years, and being unable to pass a 14 will label you as a "sucky" player, thus making newcomers scared of remarks such as if they'd fail on Energizer Hard.
Maybe 14's will be a good idea in a mix or two... but I'd suggest adding a couple of 13's, with one of them being borderline to what a 14 would be in difficulty. That would slowdown that exponential difficulty raise scheme I was talking about...
But hey, that's just my 2 cents on the matter... _________________

Never, each game will make it progressively harder so the game doesn't fall into the aphoria of DDR. What you're afraid of is the whole point of upgrading the game. If you don't make it more difficult, Kevin will stop playing and so will every other good player and nobody will have any point to continue practicing because tournaments will die - and then you'll suddenly be playing EX again. _________________

I mean when the primary BPM of a song is 400 BPM for the duration of the song, except for a few slowdowns. |

Hm... hopefully, this is not too off topic... I'm just so bored from doing hw all day. Anyway, I was just taking an hr break from homework today playing stepmania and trying to learn Flip... Then I just suddenly thought of something that might be interesting to see on future versions of ITG.
Maybe... instead of just Flip, we can have an entire row in the mods screen to modify the order of the arrows, maybe have the standard (LDUR) orientation, Flip (RUDL), Shift Right (RLDU), Shift Left (DURL), Shift 2 (URLD), or even a Random order one or something... Anyway...
I personally don't think having 14s would make the game less fun, as long as they have the songs of lower difficulty as well. Even now, I wouldn't dare touch any of the 13s (except maybe Summer), so having a 14 in the new ITG just means one more song that I am not going to play, which is not really saying much, since there are always songs like Perfect or I'll Get There Anyway which I don't want to play (for different reason than the 14 of course). At the same time I don't care if they don't have a 14... Since I won't play it anyway, I'm more or less indifferent as to whether they are going to have a 14.
I do agree that without a gradual increase in difficulty, the top tier players are eventually going to quit, but I think that ITG is not targetted at top tier players only (because without having more newbies getting into ITG, ITG isn't going to last very long either), and at the moment, it is still safe to say that not everyone can pwn all the 12's and 13s... Only a small percentage can, and so I just think that even if ITG3 has only new 13s (and lower, duh) the majority of the hardcore players will continue playing. After a certain point in time though, I believe there will be 14s and higher for sure.
O ya, one more thing... I do believe there is a certain limit to songs being possible to pass (I mean duh... 32nd streams at 300bpm... or even something less extreme). So, if RoXoR is going to try to keep the top tier players playing ITG, they will not want to increase the level of difficulty too fast, because the slower they increase the level of difficulty while still keeping the interests of the good players, the more versions they can release, the money they make.
Well my 2 cents... now back to the real world of assignments and exams... _________________

I'd much rather see a large variety of solid 10's and 11's than having an entire mix with nothing special except one insane song...
Still, I think the guys at roxor should make some doubles stepcharts to trump PIU. That would be pretty cool. |

No. . . Thats wrong. . .
I'd love to see some long versions. Oasis and Euphoria would be some great candidates for that.

Whoa whoa, is there a long version of Euphoria out there? I've only heard the 2:02 version.
The long version of Oasis would definitely be good. I've always liked the idea of long version songs. They'd be great for building stamina. Trying to get 100% on one would be ridiculous, though... |

you can't take things personally on the internet, or you fail at life because people are assholes.
I want to see Spente Le Stelle (Yomanda Mix) in ITG 3 because it would make a good 11/12 or a long version song. And because it's opera techno. _________________
