sort of a newb/oldbie question

is Mellow from itg the same song as Have You Ever Been Mellow, from ddr. i ask because i have no way of playing Have You Ever Been Mellow, and i noticed in Mellow some of the lyrics are have you ever been mellow so i was just wondering.

From a bit of researching, i believe not.

The step charts of "Have you ever been mellow" are not the same as ITG's "Mellow".... although you aren't talking about the stepcharts.

For an analogy similar to this, think about this:

On DDR there is a song called "Drifting Away" (you can find a video of Phrekwenci freestyling to it on the main video page).... similarly, there is a song on ITG called "Drifting Away".

Those are my thoughts, but i don't have a concrete answer for you. Maybe a mod could clear this up for us E13.gif

DDR's Have You Never Been Mellow is a cover of the Olivia Newton John song, and ITG's Mellow isn't. Daz did alot of covers while a part of Bus Stop, but this isn't one, it just has one similar lyric.

And similar music (to an extent). Just one big, steaming pile of coincidences, as far as I know.

No they aren't the same song, but like some of the other songs in ITG, I can't help to think it was a subtle tribute to the game's predecessor (Bumble Bee is an example of an obvious tribute, while I believe Birdie is another example of a subtle tribute to Butterfly).
