Let's see, Drop Out was on 5th Mix and it was the fastest. Afronova, Rythmn and Police, Can't Stop Falling In Love Speed Mix, and Butterfly on Beginner were some pretty hard ones. I can't think of other ones. I'd say Afronova or Rythmn and Police for now. _________________

Hm, so 1st-5th mix.
Probably R&P, yeah. Well...Afronova is sorta harder...but Drop Out is a pain.
You know what? I really don't know. _________________

On an Arcade Mix? I remember that a lot of people used to talk about some of the hardest songs being Furuhata's Theme and Romance no Kamisama.
On a home version - I'd say Healing Vision (Angelic Mix) wins that. It was on 5th Mix CS (as a DDRMAX preview song), and thusly before DDRMAX and MAX 300 hit arcades. _________________

I would say R&P, CSFIL: SM, Leading Cyber, maybe maybe Paranoia Rebirth. _________________

I think Afronova was the first song that gained the reputation of, "OMG, that song is impossible!". I remember hearing stories about how early on, it was banned from tournaments. |

Drop Out cuz it was 260 (but only 8-foot on Maniac), Orion...whatever mix, La Senorita Vitural, some Paranoia mixs, R&P, & others I can't think of. However, I say just go to songlists & check each mix. |

My Fire (S-Maniac). By far. I'm not sure about doubles, but Butterfly Upswing (S-Maniac) was one of the harder ones.

Way way back, it was Paranoia and Afronova. Then other mixes came along and raised the bar. But back in the day, if you could do Paranoia and Afronova, you were a king. _________________

S-Maniac was a difficulty on some older mixes (4th Mix Plus that I know of... not sure about any others) that was above Maniac (which we now call Heavy).
Although S-Maniac vanished from the world, some of the old S-Maniac stepcharts were revived later as Oni stepcharts.
In Stepmania stepfiles, the "SMANIAC" label can be used for Oni steps (I think that "ONI", "CHALLENGE", and "EXPERT" will all work also). _________________
