Hello everyone,

I just discovered the new stepfile creation utility (open source, yes!) from a previous post called "Stependous" and looks as if it has a TON of potential and is already very useful and intuitive to use. My main snag so far is how to use the random step generation functionality. By reading the read me file, I know I have to select a range of steps and then apply the randomization to that portion, but I have not had luck selecting a group of steps. I have tried using the context-sensitive right-click with "start/end selection" and does not seem to do anything.

Has anyone else had luck trying that portion of the program? Even in it's infancy, it looks as if this program will be a great utility.

Stependous: http://stependous.sourceforge.net/

Cheers,
Tom

Hello again,

Played around with the program for another few minutes and discovered what I was doing incorrectly! Did not see the small drop-down menu to select "Randomize" and clicking the "Do it" button to apply the randomization.

Cheers,
Tom

I think this is the most useless waste of programming I've ever heard of. If you're really that lazy, you can just make a long jackhammer stream in the SM editor and then hit supershuffle. If you're too lazy to do that, don't even make files.

Oh my gosh, you are right. Thank you for setting me straight and helping me see the error of my ways. My laziness has been replaced with pure motivation to overcome my laziness and I will start on it first thing tomorrow.

Cheers,
Tom
