Wow, being randomly cruel to people to make them fail so you can play DDR. What a kind thing to do. Hope none of you believe in Karma, because your buttockzes will be teh raped with bad luck and misfortune.
But I do admit, I screw around. If Im with my friends, well all screw around once we get tired. I dont find any harm in that because 1) Were all tired, and are starting to run on fumes and 2) Its people you know, and you know theyre just being annoying to get a laugh out of you.
For instance: I was doing Candy on Doubles while one of my friends randomly said something stupid and funny which made me totally eat it off the pad. I went down laughing.
Its one thing when its friends, but when some random person comes up and thinks its cool to jack you out of money, you get a punch in the head.
And instead of jacking total snobs out of money (if theyre snobby, theres a good chance they have lots of money anyway), own them with your skills. Always a better choice IMO. _________________

I do it when it's either their last stage or I'm playing against them.
It usually chases them away. _________________

Well not actually PLAYING but kinda similar in context.
Well I was playing at home once. My brother had came down to watch me. I was trying shadow me (or whatever you call it, learn by watching how I move). So on my next song I decided to play the Max 300. LOL. Just thinking about now it was so funny. I say about 5 seconds into song he just got completely confused, waved me off, then went back upstairs. LOL, oh my goodness it was just so funny. You had to be there to see how it looked. When those steps started rolling and my legs and feet along with em, he just didn't know what to do. |

I think it would be more amusing if someone tried to trick a supposed "newb" to to play harder songs (with cruel intentions mind you), only to find out the "newb" knew how to play and very well, but only acted under the guise of being oblivious. Instant Karma! |

I have been the "newb" before. It really was funny. I picked Still In My Heart (Momo Mix) and acted like I thought it had light steps, and then AA'd it. The two 1337 STANDARD players were amazed. It was really funny. _________________

I did that once. Someone I was playing against thought they were all that and talking trash to everyone (while they were playing on light/standard, mind you), and I went along playing on light until our last stage. I said pick something hard so we played Drop Out. I changed my skill level to Heavy in options and owned them. The look on their face was priceless.
But it was seriously tedious and boring to play in Light Mode for two stages. _________________

I've never been tricked, just forced. It was this one time when I played with someone and I could only play 6-7 footers, and he selected PSM. So I turned down the difficulty, but everytime I did, he would walk over to my side of the pad and set my difficulty up to Oni. Then I would reset it and he'd do the same thing again over and over, even when I had my foot on the pad. I finally gave in and played on Oni, and expected him to be able to pass...then a few notes in, the FAILED screen shows up.
I don't think (and/or hope) that anyone here would be that cruel as far as to force someone to play on a certain difficulty, but persuading a new player to do something like that is still bad. |

I've been tricked into playing way hard stuff before. When I was a noob my friends tricked me into thinking that the difficulty mode represented weight.... So I played Tsugaru on Heavy. |

Im lucky as Ive never been tricked into anything too hard for me, but I have done the evil by selecting something hard for newbies.
My sis was dancin with this chick and I jumped through the 2 bars and just hit the start button whilst they were trying to decide (I think it was Tsugaru and they were both on Light). Next song I went to Roulette and they ended up doing something like a 5 footer. Needless to say they failed.
I also have some friends (about my level), who have never tried Roulette, so I told them to...they landed on Max 300 and so I kinda felt bad for them coz they had never attempted it before...only ever seen one of my friends (great DDR'er) do it. _________________
