hey all. I want to buy a metal pad and i've been doing research and trying to narrow stuff down. i am going to buy a metal pad (not thick arcade style, just regular sized without the bar) within the next few pay checks (so within 1-1.5 months).

I was considering a CF pad, but those are just wayy too expensive for my budget (300 bucks is too rich for my blood, maybe when i become a big shot one day).

So i have my eye set on the buynshop Fusion pad. they look gorgious and i've had a couple of BNS softpads in the past and they've been fine, still using my DX pad to this day.

but considering how cheap of a person i am (cause i'll be livid if i loose more than $40 on anything), i still want to be sure...

DOES ANYONE OWN THIS Fusion PAD, and can anyone share their experience with this pad please? havn't seen many pads that look like this.
I just want to be sure these pads are as good as they look (cause they're peeeerrrtyyyy, all metal face). they have a sweet price ($159 bucks) and seem pretty quality. BUT i'm a cheap person and want to see if anyone else has this pad and could please give me some details on it and their experience.

thanks all, any recorded experience with this pad would be greatly appreciated.

sick pad. i love it, very sturdy, can't say enough about it. you can't beat the construction, responsivness, or look. it looks tight and is very nicely priced in comparision to any hard pad (about $40.00 cheaper than most other metal pads).

all in all
price: GREAT
construction: very good, i can only see that a thicker arcade style would be better. it is impossible to crack arrows, becasue the arrows are part of the entire face of the pad.
response: very good, doesn't get missed buttons or weak respsonse times. clearing 8s and 9s isn't a problem at all compared to a softpad and most other hard pads (on a very good day for me though, hahaha). but overall, considering a person's skill level, this thing responds!
looks: its THE SHIZZLE fools, its off the chains man, can't you tell!

anywho. IMHO pad is VERY WELL WORTH ANYONES CASH.
the buynshop.com website photos really don't do it justice. these are amazing looking pads. just gotta keep it clean from time to time to keep it blinging.

here is my rapper status blinged out DDR pad, hahaha.

sexy enough to hump? E13.gif

Post a review once you have it and have played on it a while! I'm interested in this pad, too.

yea i got my pad and i'm really happy with it. it holds up real nice and does look great in real life.

i will try to post some sort of mini-review as soon as school allows me a little extra time. but in sum, this is an amazing pad and its at a great price, so i'll post a review very soon but all in all its a great pad.

i'll put it through the works a lil' while longer before i write the review too. but SO FAR SO GOOD. i'm really happy with it.

oh and i finally got the terrorist name jokes. damn i'm slow. haha.

It looks good and i want to buy it but i have to know. Are the arrows easy to press because it's all the top of the pad and i'm wondering if you have to press hard to push down the metal? and koofu, how long have you had the pad? It sounds good but if you've only had it for 1 or 2 weeks you cant really tell how long it'll last or how reliable it is. Also, does anyone know if it has foil contacts like the other crappy metal pads or does actually have metal contacts? If it's foil, can the pad be opened up so you can replace the foil with sheet metal or something?

Our Local Lan center had these with the bar.

Basicly VERY VERY heavy play, these lasted a long time, about 4 or 5 months,( someone kicked the front of one of the pads off while playing ITG songs erm.gif ) but its okay, They managed to fix it. the other pad they sold used to my friend for 100 dollors and he says its fine.

He passed infection yesterday! E7.gif

I had a few problems, one of which was mainly, it took awhile to figure out where the buttons were.. but after that its awsome. Very solid pads! I would reccomnd these to anyone who played 10 difficulty and above.

Btw, Dont waste your money on the bar verson, its just extra for a bar that dosnt hold up and a frame thats more fragle than the non bar verson (plus it cost more to ship!)

hm, so far its doing good. I've had it for about a month, and i'm passing 8-9 foots better now (i still need lotta work E2.gif). I think its because i can move my feet around easier on the flat surface now. At first it was pretty weird because its so smooth, but after a while of playing and getting used to, i found that i can actually hit the arrows faster without lifting my feet as high as i would have to on a regular 9-panelled metal pad. overall, this is a pretty good pad, which is why i am STILL enthusiastic about it E4.gif
