Recently I have found that somejackasses passing by like to scrounge up all the change they have in their life savings (A couple pennies and a nickel) and toss em at people playing. That's just stupid as hell. _________________

what really pisses me off is when a 3 year old jumps on the pad while your playing and messes u up.
Also when u put your coin in the coin line, and the person playing takes it when there finished, saying its theres _________________

The other day I was playing speed over beethoven standard [as warm up]. Just cuz I wasn't using the bar at the moment, this girl [maybe twelve-ish?] steps onto the mat I'm on and jumps up to sit on the bar.
No one was on the 2p mat, but no. She HAS to sit on MY bar. WTF? |

the only things i pretty much hate are:
-when people just walk up out of nowhere and shadow you. I dont care if they ask because i'll probably say no, but its really rude to just hop on and shadow without premission first
-when people keep asking "are you done yet??" (epecially people who come play ddr a lot! they should know better!)
-(this only happened to me a few times) when random people come up and take your picture while your playing (the flash is uber annoying)
-when little kids run up and start trying to step on your pad. im done worry about kids. if they run up and get stomped, oh well. someones a bad parent.
thats pretty much it besides the ones everyone else pretty much posted (like hecklers, people who play with muddy shoes, noobs who think they're hardcore when they bar rape Love Shine on light) _________________

I actually like when people play barefoot. When pads get dirty, they get slippery, but the sweat from people's feet makes them stickier, making it easier for me to play w/out worrying about slipping |

Are you literally insane or do you just enjoy trying to screw with people's heads by making the most mind-boggling incomprehensible statements possible?
DDR Extreme is approaching its 4th birthday, almost everyone's bored with it, and it's impossible to turn around without tripping over yet another damn Extreme cabinet. The graphics look like something from an 16-bit SNES, the songs are mainly recycled from the older mixes that have been brutally driven to near-extinction by the frenzy of mindless Extreme upgrading a few years back, and... you know how after you hear a song a few thousand times, you just can't stand it anymore? Multiply that by however many songs are on there. When non-Japanese speakers have accidentally memorized the entire lyrics of Daikenkai despite never actually playing it, you have a problem.
From what I've witnessed since the release of ITG2, DDR Extreme is now just what people do out of desperation when the line for the ITG2 machine is too long, or in order to warm up their muscles before moving on to the real game, or when they don't have enough money afford access to the ITG2 machine (which generally gets five times as much traffic despite costing up to twice as much or more per song as DDR).
You just don't know how good you have it. Those of us who don't live within easy driving distance of an ITG2 machine would not hesitate to slit an innocent person's throat or steal candy from a dying child if doing either of those things would somehow result in getting an ITG2 machine within 50 miles of our homes.
People give no thought to driving 2, 3, 5, or even more hours to visit the nearest ITG2 machine, perhaps several times in a week. I wonder, when's the last time anybody made trips like that for DDR Extreme? "Hey Ma, let's hitch up the buggy and see if we can make it to the DDR machine in New Podunk by Wednesday!" "Naw, Cletus... donthca remember that Uncle Jethro's got five of them damn things sitting in his front yard, in-between the rusted-out pickup trucks and the coon dogs?"
Needless to say indeed. |
o.o;;;;;;; Dude.... Woah.....
I was upset, because I was just getting used to that arcade machine and they go and replace it. I know it's been there for ages, but while me and my friend were in Florida, every time we turned around there was that damn ITG machine in our resort, and we came back home and were eager to go to the arcade and play DDR Extreme. We got there and there was an ITG machine there x.x; I didn't mean to stir up so much. |

Being shadowed without permission...
People making fun of you although they couldn't get one beat right...
People who play the same song one beginner 3 times in a row... (Some guy played We Are The Champions three times in a row at our arcade..)
That's about it for now. _________________

1-People that stand between the bars and swing off them.
2-People who ignore the fact you have put a coin in line. My sister and her friend did this to me and my friend...I was not impressed at all.
3-People who take my money from the line...had a really annoying kid do this and one of my friends caught him and told me (and this kid was one of the annoying ones who swings on the bar when ur tryin to dance) and because he had been pissing me off all day I was very rude when I asked him for my money back and I told him if he sees money there to leave it alone or Ill keep putting money in and he will never get on.
4-People that stand next to the screen and move their head in front of it to see how fast the song is or whatever. Or they stand there moving...
5-People standing within a 1m radius of the machine...s*its me to tears is all I can say _________________

I hate people who stomp on the arrows.
PA stomping and just plain stomping are very different. I flatfoot and PA stomp. Some people just stomp like they're trying to kill a large rodent. _________________

Is it just me or does anyone else think there should be some sort of weight limit for the machines? I have several heavy weight friends that play, but there is this one kid that comes in and breaks the pads every time. He is already really heavy, but when he goes to hit an arrow he SLAMS down on the pad like it wouldnt detect his weight and once I get up there after him the arrows are frozen. - Maybe they should just kick him off. I dunno, a weight limit wouldnt be very fair to the people that actually knew how to play.. _________________

My biggest beefs.
1. Someone standing on the other pad.
2. Someone trying to talk to me while playing.
3. People leave the machine dirty.
4. People take ALL 90 seconds to pick a song.
5. Someone who plays the same song ALL THE DAMN TIME.
6. Someone who puts there foot on the pad I am on...I don't feel like twisting an ankle.
These are in no order...I just thought of these off the top of my head. |

Sometimes that bothers me, sometimes it doesn't. If someone is about to do a "whoamygodit'sgonnakillme" song or has just done one, I don't mind them waiting for most, if not all of the 90 seconds.
However, if they haven't, and they just can't make up their friggin' mind, then I tend to get slightly bothered.

No, no weight limits. I probably would have exceeded the weight limit when I first started playing. But I never really "stomped" on the pads either. I still don't. It hurts too much if I stomp.
But if someone is stomping excessively, I wouldn't mind seeing an arcade personnel asking them to either stop or get off the machine. But that would never happen around here. |

-People freestyling on light songs...and missing lots of steps.
-Drunk people saying "I wanna go! Can you hurry up?" No, I can't hurry up, b*tch.
-Little kids who are admittedly really good, but are incredibly smug and mock you behind your back (and seem to get an endless supply of money from their parents).
-People who put a coin on the screen right in front of you while you're trying to play a difficult song.
-When the employees turn up the radio in the arcade so loud that it's hard to hear the DDR audio (this has happened many a time).
-People who waste their money by starting a game and purposely failing the first song by randomly jumping around to mimic "good" DDR players. |

I don't really mind people shadowing me, I just tune them out. But I do get annoyed when people press the song select button for me, picking a song like "Dam Daridam", or something while I'm tying my shoe.
My biggest pet peeve however, would be people leaving their greasy palmprints on the screen. It makes it near impossible to focus on the arrows. |

My biggest peve besides the standard ones are those who take advantage of noobs. Way back when my girlfriend and I were just getting into ddr, she waited in the coin line like everyone else for her turn. When she gets up there this guy asks for versus she says she isn't very good and he said he was fine with that. The guy takes over the song selection and cranks it on Max 300! At the time we could only do 3 foot songs. Then the guy says since he is first player he gets to choose all* the songs. Since she had never done arcade before she went along with it. The rest of the round went the same... |
