yes if you play like that, that often, then you should get a very good metal pad, your own made one or a CF unless money is an issue |

Bwahahaha... that's the saddest looking DDR pad I've ever seen
But, do the sensors still work? Can you still achieve scores in songs that reflect your gameplay without the pad malfunctioning? If it still works, I say keep usin' it til the sensors are shredded.
Although, I would suggest buying a new pad right about now in case the old one craps out; which just by appearances it's done 100 hours of gameplay ago. _________________

Ive managed to AA a few songs last night with it. Guess it gets to keep going!
I really dont have the money to buy a new pad at the moment, so this is like, the last thing I have. And as of now, the pad has clear packaging tape all over the left arrow. Ill probably have to tape the down arrow soon too.

i've had a job since i was 14 (i'm 15 turning 16 in march) and i have been bussing, I make mad money at good reastraunts ( I edited out how much i make) I have been saving for my CF for about 2 weeks now but as for being on topic if it still works keep on playing is it ducked taped to the ground or anything like that on plywood? is that how it has been living for so long
edit: i didn't want to go ranting on about my job which is basically what i did and was completly off topic |

Nah, the Ignition foam is still...well in decent condition (I dare not open it to check, god knows if Ill be able to get it back inside). Its not taped down or stapled to anything, and every once in a while on a random 10, Ill have the pad slip out and move under me. But other than that, yeah.... Got some AAs. _________________

if you are playing at least 2 hours heavy a day, then you should be preparing to purchase a new pad, especially from the looks of that one. I'm surprised the pad lasted a year of heavy play! You've got one of those rare foam pads that actually work well . Since you play so much, you might want to save up a bit and upgrade to a metal pad. Soft pads can only get you so far in skill. If you don't want a metal pad, you could get a dense foam pad instead of soft foam pad. I'm not sure if you have a dense foam already, cuz it looks a bit like it from the picture. I think they have some at Buynshop or RedOctane. But the thing I don't like about RO pads is that its overpriced for the same pads as other stores sell. bleh =/ _________________
