As always, meaning like it hasn't been before? None of the last 3 CS IIDX titles have been delayed. |
For that matter, have there been any Bemani titles in recent history that have been delayed? It's been my experience that once Konami officially announces a ship date, you can pretty much count on it being met. This seems to be true regardless of which region we're talking about as well, as far as I know. Maybe, Snapps, you are confused and think Blizzard is developing this game?

Well - KonamiStyle doesn't even have 10th Style listed on their pages yet, let alone a Limited Edition version. I'm sure once it goes up on the KonamiStyle page, it'll go up on PlayAsia. I mean, PlayAsia can't really sell a limited edition without knowing if it'll exist, what it'll have with it if Konami does make one, and obviously no base price.

In celebration, I also went on eBay and bought the last three Bemani titles I needed for my collection: IIDX 5th, Pop'n 7 and Pop'n Best Hits. It feels good to finally have bought them. :D

Personally, Himeya has always been my first choice when it comes to buying imported games as well, but since the last two Styles' releases, Himeya has let me down as far as even carrying such items. Play-Asia hasn't done anything bad to me just yet but I certainly don't like waiting for their Air economy Bubble shipping...haha not like I won't have the game downloaded and burned while I wait for my official copy to arrive either.

The dvds are almost at their limits here, there wont be too many returning songs id think. Unless they have some way of compressing them?

This has been an arguement before, and if I remember correctly it was determined that there is still PLENTY of space for songs/videos. A lot of things that were being previously done in older Styles (6th's Tatsujin mode for example), separate doubles videos, and two different aspect ratios for current videos was eating up DVD space, but all that's been fixed. The new GUI (from 8th to 9th) couldn't have made that dramatic of an impact space wise on the discs as well, so 10th should port over just fine, along with all the 10th AC songs.
I hate being a punk about this, but so long as all the new songs port over I'm happy. I have all the other Styles so returning songs don't tickle my fancy much at all, with the exception of being able to score higher with different HS and better GUI to read with. Everytime I go back below 9th Style ( 8th is my favourite too) my eyes bleed because the key press lighting on the screen bars blinds me when compared to 9th's subtle higher res blue tone.

I think the reason most people look forward to repeat songs is that a few of them could benefit from a few slightly more adjustable mods. Max300 comes immediately to mind (I wish it had the 8th/9th 0.5 mod for really fast songs), as well as any 5th Style song that hasn't been repeated as scoring on slow songs with only HS3 is an F'ing nightmare. On a side note, I'm looking forward to the US Beatmania for just that reason, because I enjoy 5-key Bemani but I cannot stand the interface of anything before 6th Mix.

They exist. Only in Arcade Mode, and only for SAKURA and PARANOiA Survivor MAX on Extra Stage. This is where HS-1 = 0.5x and HS-2 = 1.5x, I believe. :o

Yeah... UG, I believe GD was saying that as Max 300 has only appeared in 7th style so far, and the first time they did the "HS1 for fast songs = 1.5x" thing was for Sakura in 8th, that it'd be nice if they did the same thing for Max 300 in a future CS version like 10th... which would definitely be nice
