Have you ever wondered what DDR will be like in the future? I think it would cool if they comboined ITG,DDR,PIU all in the same machene, with a huge song colection. I think it would be CRAZY hard but insanely cool all at the same time.

Licensing and legality issues would get in the way of that happening. However, it certainly wouldn't surprise me if Konami took some cues from Roxor and other arrow-smash companies when designing future games, seeing as Konami is no longer the only company specializing in mainstream rhythm games.

If there is DDR in the future, hopefully it won't die out in the years.

It will die out eventually, just like everything else.

-hoards enough 3rd party dance pads to last him for thirty years-

Personally I'm hoping it gets more popular around here before then though, so maybe I'll get a machine within 30 miles from my house...

Technomotion is DDR + PiU. It bombed.

In all honesty, im seeing a future in DDR again (thanks to the lawsuit). I hope they keep (ha, unlikely) the ITG songs in DDR if konami tkaes them down.

First off, you will be in a clear glass cube. There will be two arrows on your right, two arrows in front of you, two arrows behind you, two arrows to the left, one arrow on top (for head), and your standard four arrow pattern for your feet. Comes to a total of 13 arrows on your screen, which would be incredibly hard to read. Plus the arrow colors will be like pump it up so each side of the cube will have a different colored arrow, to make it even more hard to sightread. This will be either called, DDR 3-D, or DDR Evolution.

And I think it'd be cool if people like you stopped having opinions, but we can't all get what we want.

DDR would be cool if it had springs under each arrow. I dont know why, it wouldnt help at all, but it would be cool to bounce on the ddr pad.

I heard about this cool new DDR game. It's really cool. It's considered to be the most realistic dance simulator ever created! It doesn't cost much to play either. The music is good, too. You can find it in warehouses late at night in San Francisco. Just stay away from the magic pillz.

Before I saw this topic I had thought about something like what ParanoiaFantasy said. You'd be in a clear box with the standard four arrows, but there would be other arrows on the walls of the box. This'd make for some tough but awesome looking FS'ing, ne? People would come up with stuff like...'The Mime'. Yeah, i'd try that laugh.gif

has anyone played konami's dancemaniacs (it's that game where you use your hands to match the beats)

well they should combine ddr with dancemaniacs that way you have to use both your feet and hands to match 8 sets of arrows

think that's crazy, what about this combo on doubles - whoa. my head hurts just thinking about it. that'd be 16 arrows

sorry for double post -

i think ddr in the future would be something like "ddr extreme 7" where they have a couple of new songs and the rest are old ones they copied and pasted from old versions while making it. leave it up to konami to come up with an idea that is completely unoriginal and takes no real effort E1.gif

I figure DDR will be as dead as Napoleon Dynamite in a few years, meaning that very few people will think it's cool.
