VerTex^2's the hardest song I've ever seen! shocked.gif
I know it's possible to pass it, but how can RoXor top it in terms of difficulty?! It just doesn't seem possible!

That's cause it's StepMania with your fingers, I assume.

Try it on foot. I think it's difficult, but I know RoXoR can think up other gimmicks to make harder songs.

Yes yes, you can pass it on KEYBOARD, but can you on FOOT? I mean, anything harder than VerTex^2 would be as hard as Reality, and that's an impossiblility on foot!

EDIT: eh, someone posted before me! laugh.gif

Yeah, but sooner or later, they'll push the envelope so far that the hardest songs will be impossibilites! I At the current rate I expect this to happen at about the 4th-5th mix!

I've yet to see VerTex^2. I'm guessing by your post it beats Pandemonium?

The only truly hard part is the crazy slowdown near the end to the end. THe rest is pretty easy for a person who plays 13's a lot.

There's a lot of ways to make something harder than that. Euphoria blender, anyone? :S

The ending is just retarded hard. Not the 555BPM part, but the part before it with all the mines. The Festival of Ghost 2 edit is easier than this for me.

...Excuse me? I can make a stepfile of 16th runs at 240 BPM and some step-jump-step-jump patterns. BANG hardest ITG stepfile.

What's the point in playing it, though? Aren't stepfiles also supposed to be fun?

Proving that you can, of course. erm.gif

i still can't figure out the logic behind those rhythms. IMO, the song sucks anyways. And believe us when we say that Roxor can make the game as hard as they damn well please. I just wish they could make harder steps without creating an utter mindfuck like vertex^2.

Wow are you kidding me? I understand it may be difficult, but...that's a lot to say dude. On my fingers I don't hit a single mine at that part, and I hit quite a few everywhere in TFOG2. I will say it's bound to be far harder on feet than hands, but then you'd have to compare it to TFOG2 on feet...yeah ok XD. That part has got to be the hardest part on Nightmare.

I think Vertex^2 will the a Determinator of the 13s. It's definatley not as consistently speedy as the other 13s, but sure as hell has a few parts that will be rediculously hard to pass -- the swarm of purple arrows after the hands, the 1/8 note mine run just afterward, then the 555 part, and not necessarily because of the speed, it's just frikin' akward.

It is known that VerTex^2 is crazy as hell with the 555 BPM part, but I believe that Roxor will pull a rabbit out of the hat in ITG3 and make a VerTex^3 with 14-Block Expert steps that include 1000+ steps and a peak BPM that shatters even the original VerTex's record for the fastest BPM ever seen in an ITG song. Now THAT would be as close to (if not) impossible as it can get.

No. Have you even PLAYED VerTex^2? Pandy's a Butterfly Beginner compared to VerTex^2's PSMO. *Note: I'm just using Butterfly and PSM as COMPARISIONS IN DIFFICULTY.

Yeah, the VerTex series, if you will, is notorius for the speedups, mines and flurries of arrows on expert mode, or heck any difficulty even.

ITG is a game that was sort of based on, "Hey, let's make a game by Bemani players for Bemani players. We also want a challenge since DDR's been out for quite some time and we've all played that and done that." They'll know where to push the bar more or make some more gimmicks. Heck, ITG just seems to be a lot of gimmicks that make the game fun.

Not necessarily. Pandy is consistently difficult throughout the entire song; Vertex is only difficult at the end.
