Is there a big difference between 3.0 and 2.0? Because if not, I'm just going to buy a Level Six Deluxe Dance Mat v3.1 (Ignition Style) and save a lot of money. |

The only difference is the USB support inclusion and the way it looks, I guess. I think if you just get the USB cord from the 3.0 and put it on your 2.0 it would work. _________________

So other than that, there's no difference? BTW, can anyone direct me to the link for the essential Ignition mods? Thanks. |

The mod isn't essential for the official stuff, but its for the knockoffs that don't have the foam like the 2.0 and 3.0 _________________

No, cause it's not RedOctane. RO was the first people to make the ignition type pads. _________________

Actually it was Konami.

Not my pad.
Unless your willing to fork over $200 at ToysNJoys, good luck finding one of these. That picture was taken over 5 years ago, and from what I've heard, the foam insert is the same as the manner cushions made by Konami for regular softpads, the surface is glossy, shiny, and overall a lot sexier than any soft pad I've seen. _________________

Just got one last night after getting a busted 2.0 of ebay. NEVER buy a used ignition pad off ebay even if they say it's tested and works. Well anyways, I LOVE my 3.0 but I'm kinda nervous tha it'll die on me any second. So I've been checking for internal ripping twice every day so far. Anyone know a good way to extend the life of a Ignition mat? Yes, I know about the Rychan mod, but I heard it's not neccesary for mats with "dense" foam. |

I just said "screw this" and bought the 2.0. Maybe RO will improve their pads for the Holidays? _________________

The 2.0's they're pumping out are just the exact same as the 3.0's. Its not like how it was when there was only 2.0's. I have a newer 2.0 and an older 2.0, and I like the older 2.0 much better. The outside cover is much tighter, and the plastic inserts seem to be thicker. And since the outside cover is tighter, the plastic doesn't seem to bend after a few days of heavy play. _________________

I bought the last of the seven original 2.0s my EB had. It's not one of the new ones and it works awesomely. _________________

Lucky, I bought mine from my local Best Buy and the down arrow is starting to not respond and do a few phantom steps.
See, my theory with the new 2.0's and the 3.0's, with the outside cover being much more loose, it causes the plastic under the arrows to bend upwards around where you step. That leads to phantom stepping and not responding at all.
Either that or I'm just too fat for the pad _________________
