I recently bought the slightly new dancing game In The Groove (I T G).
I do not really think it is better than DDR, yet I find there are some songs that can be alot harder than DDR songs, yet DDR I find more exiting, I may say that ITG could be more challenging. What do you say?

I enjoy ITG more and believe that difficulty is part of what makes the game exciting. I wonder why this thread was posted in DDR Chit Chat though...

Whether or not you think ITG is better than DDR is entirely, entirely subjective. If you're looking for more challenging songs and/or like happy hardcore, eurodance, trance, or one of the other genres of music ITG contains, ITG is your game. Otherwise, DDR is probably just fine for you. Personally, I like ITG more because IMHO the steps are more fun, I like a good deal of the music, and I think the USB flash drive features it has are both handy and cool. I still like DDR, though. Partyboy pointed out that ITG doesn't have as many songs as DDR, but keep in mind, ITG is only on its 2nd game. The first had 72 and the second has 135. Compare that to DDR, whose first and second games had 13 and 30ish songs, respectively. ITG is catching up to DDR in sheer songlist size quite quickly.

Thats so true, and probably if a third one comes out they'll be around 170'ish number of songs... DDR is cool and all though E15.gif ...

Y hallo thar Pump it Up...

ITG is more challenging, but doesn't have as good/catchy songs.
DDR is less challenging, but more fun overall to play.

I like them both, because sometimes I just want to have fun, and sometimes I want a tough challenge.

Theyre both fun. No need to try and say ones better than the other. I like them both.

I like ddr better. I like the songs a lot better in ddr. Sure a few of the songs, are more challenging, but they're like impossible on expert.

I played ITG for my first time a couple days ago, and I enjoyed playing (and passing) my first 11s and 12s. I still think DDR is more fun to play. I think DDR and ITG have to sit down and have a man to man talk. E15.gif

Both of them are fun to play.

I miss the japanese-poppish songs on ITG, and on DDR, I miss the better dance/techno type of music.

The arrows on DDR are shiny. Flashy/shinyness in directly proportionate to thrills. However, I am still a pretty low level player. Once I get better I may switch over for the challenge. But I really do like the poppy songs and the remixes of 80s hits. Techo can get kinda ho-hum after a while.

This is such a overused topic, so much so that there's no good that can come from it. Locked.
