my friend and i, after finding to my dismay, his ps2, like mine, dislikes wireless ddr pads. with one xteamly flimsy soft pad, and 3 guys who play 7-9 footers where in dismay.

How can we save the pad from destruction?

The good 'ol wood mod. I asked him
"Got any wood?"
"No"
"Got any plastic?"
"No"

with no materials, we began to fret.

then, i thought to myself, "what is thin enought to transfer the step, but strong enough to resist bunching up?"

Cardboard.

We found a large flattend cardboard box. We popped it open just a little bit and slid the pad inside, but not all the way in, so the control box and "start/select" was uncovered.

I taped the flaps in the back together, we plugged in, and away we went.

As long as the pad is still in good condition wen u put it in the cardboard, then u really shouldnt have too much of a problem. We even designed the cardboard with crazy stuff, make it look cool.

i bet sooner or later the cardboard going to bend up. But it's a pretty good idea. And why couldn't you just get wood or plastic. wood's only like $15.

If you're lucky enough, go to the wood cutting area at Home Depot/Lowe's and they'll give you a big-enough board if it's already been cut. It severely reduces the price. I got mine for $2.

All I did was find some wood in the garage and rip a part of it off if to big. and got a huge thing of ducktape. and just put my pads on the wood and surround the edges in ducktape. wala probably made a ghetto aracde style DDR with about 15 bucks worth of materials. and its actully good...

If the pad is totally covered by the cardboard, then how do you know where the arrows are? Did you just draw them on the board?

Well I need them just in case I get a little stuck. I dont always hit the arrows directly, like sometimes Ill just get the corner of an arrow blink.gif .
