Does "Hillbilly Hardcore" (Hard) have forced spin-gallops later on in the gallop section of the song?
It seemed like it when I was playing it, but I couldn't quite work out the obscure crossovers if they weren't spins before I went from Low Health to Life Depleted (at which point, I just held Start to give up). |

Spins are never forced. I think for that part, most people switch their starting foot before a gallop, i.e. don't crossover. You can switch your starting foot according to the appropriate gallop, or if aren't intuitively fast enough for it, you can always double step a gallop and get a great or decent or whatever instead of failing. _________________

Queen of light expert kind of forces you to do spins. Kind of like Ordinary World(DDR) |

Yeah, i was just going to mention Ordinary World (DDR). Some steps actually force you to spin because of the position you are in. Unless you are going to do a leg-swing (swinging your leg around the other... duh), then you're going do a forced spin. _________________

if you can switch your feet fast enough, you can do "forced spins" without actually spinning. I do it all the time, you just switch out the foot on the freeze arrow for your other foot, and hit the next freeze with your newly freed foot. |

There aren't any forced spins in Oasis, but they are in QoL, BYM, Utopia, etc. Also, like Syncognition, I don't spin those, I just cross my legs over each other.
The gallops in Hillbilly Hardcore are spin gallops. Don't bother trying to spin them, just switch your feet when going from LD to DR gallops and so forth. _________________

In QoL and BYM Expert, you don't need to hold the spin-freezes at all, they are short enough that just double-stepping nails them. _________________

Oh, well I never got far enough in BYM to know that you could double-step it. As for QoL, I usually end up dropping the freezes anyway. I just guessed at Oasis--I thought it wanted you to do some crazy crossovers because I noticed I was double stepping a lot (and dropping a lot of freezes while at it). _________________

I still say, spins are never forced, because they are often very slow, as in the case for QoL and BYM (and of course Oasis and Ordinary World do not require spinning if you step correctly). I do try spinning them once in a while (but I suck at it), but if I were to FA them, I'd just outstep instead of spin, and you can always outstep anything that requires spinning. If the "forced-spinning" notes were faster though... then outstepping might not be as good a choice.
But anyway, this wasn't what the original poster asked. Just switch foot on those gallops in Hillbilly Hardcore cuz I'm sure that's what the majority would do (and the rest would probably doublestep some of those 16ths...). _________________

Only if you like getting really dizzy - those circles are very easily double-stepped.
Also, there are some cases where instead of spinning, I'll swing one of my legs around behind me to hit the down arrow. Looks kinda weird, but it works. _________________

Ordinary World doesn't have a single spin (on the freezes, at least) all of them can be easily crossed over It's just a lot of people don't see it easily giving them a lot of trouble on Ordinary World. |

Yes that is what I meant by outstepping. ... That IS the correct term for it, isn't it? _________________

Queen of Light does not have forced spins. Do you people know what spins are? they aren't 180 degrees, they are 360 degrees. |

Think disconnected Mobius. The beginning of the song is easier to spin than DS |

Lol, I dunno. That sounds more like a term someone would use like "I'm outstepping you!" But uhh...someone said leg-swing earlier |
