Yay thread bumps! Oh, to positively contribute, "POP" can also refer to "Probability of Precipitation" by the meterological model numeric outputs.

Used in the NGM guidance output

Used in a discussion issued by one the analytic scientists

This, obviously, has nothing to with DDR, but is still at least somewhat informative.
